One summer a field basks in the warm sun

Filled with flowers that sway in the slight wind

In the distance the deer with freedom run

Trees of towering beauty move and bend

The sky glistens with many vibrant blues

Harboring clouds that provide ample shade

Bodies of clear water nearby leave clues

Where fisherman into the water wade

With many aromas filling the air

And the memories being created

Our feet on the meadow’s green grass are bare

Arriving friends today aren’t belated

The summer’s day comes to a happy end

Tomorrow will bring a continued trend
First attempt at a Sonnet, how'd I do?
