Earth felt the rumble from beneath her mind

The sun swept its beams away from her edge

The clouds replaced the suns image

Then they danced

-

The beat of their fog like bodies collided in a rhythm

Earth felt it deep inside

She began to quake but just enough so the ground wouldn’t break

The singing birds flew away to the shelter of trees

While the leaves blew this way and that way kissing the autumn air

-

The clouds became thick with happiness

Filling up with nature’s dew

Until static was released

The sky caught it and stretched it until lighting colored her darkness

The clouds laughed which turned into thunder

Then Earth felt it

-

The cool liquid rain

Falling and splashing against her

Moving smoothly through the groves and crevices of her dry skin

She drank it up until she created a flood

The ocean waved its delight

The scorched animals were relieved

The storm dance finally settled

-

The sun took her beams

Opened the veil of clouds

She shone her likeness upon Earth

Then vanished

Moon glowed and kissed earth goodnight

Earth smiled . . .

Happy and refreshed
