I Looked beyond his hollow face, to a smile-- I tried to trace, but I couldn't get beyond the pain; so I stopped and stared again.  Looked  beyond the eyes and deep into the soul, to see the story never he told. Beyond the darkness, Beyond the rain, Beyond hatred, Beyond shame. he loved so once, when he had life... He called her lover and she called him wife. He loved so deeply within his mind, He thought she cared about his kind. Why, Did she run into the  arms of another... Another him under-cover? A sweet kiss he gave that night, Right before he took her life. Eyes saw them engaged as one, He reached over and got his gun; shot them once to the head... Kissed their passion--- Left them dead. now, I look into that face and see... the smile I tried to trace; One so happy... One so gay; of a killer that got away.
