Searching for an answer,
Seeking for that reason.
Bound to you by society
Trying to escape.
Caught up in your moments,
A pawn in your game.
I'm held hostage by the words,
Searching for serenity.
I want to break free,
To fly to the places I should be.
Disappointment looms overhead,
Clouds of fear always in sight.
Your lips speak sweetness,
Your actions like knives.
The day will come,
When I shall thrive.
Until that day,
I'll say goodnight.
