We only fear monsters in the dark;
it’s the surprise that really gets us.
When it’s light out,
it’s easier to accept them.

of the wild hunters we once knew
who we’ve tamed into regression,
who now just feel neglected.
early draft, I thought of the line "wild hunters we once knew" and tried to build something around that idea
