once upon a time there was a
girl with dark hair and dark eyes
who met a boy who broke her
fragile heart into several pieces
the pieces then flew to the
arms of several different boys
the boys the pieces flew to didn't
know exactly what to do with just a piece
so from their calloused hands
the sharp broken heart bits fell
to the hard cold frozen ground
where the cold kept them safe
but then there was a boy who
began to pick them up from the ground
and held them tightly though the
pieces were sharp then there was another
boy  who picked up the pieces too
two boys picking up the pieces of one girls broken heart
each piece individual and unique and so unlike the rest
one offered his heart after the other and the girl now has to choose
which part of her heart she wants to live with forever
