Mar 2015
under a thin new moon
a black car passes by
   followed by a yellow one

two identical business suits
   disappear into the alley

leaving me to myself
   on the narrow balcony
   of my third-floor hotel room

where the night wind blows
thoughts around the corner
like cigarette smoke
