Jack look up to his mother
The one who is trying to have a peek through a corner
Inner thoughts went inside his head and started asking
What the hell is she doing?

Mother went down
Asking Jack to sleep now
But Jack still wants to play
So he asked for an extension today

Mother said that it is not okay
Old Nick will be back any time of this day
The door beep
Jack needed to sleep

Jack went inside the closet
Counting the numbers of teeth he has left
As Old Nick went inside the room
Mother's very quiet while Old Nick created a "Boom!"

Jack can hear mother's cry
As Old Nick's punches fly
Jack can't do a single thing
He is just 5, what a poor thing

There it goes again creaking
The bed started bouncing
Jack can't see through the dark room
Jack doesn't know his mother's doom
This poem is inspired by the book "The Room" by Emma Donoghue.
