Hi It's Haliyah
Poems
Jan 2015
The Serpent Snatched My Sins
Your hands are broken
And your heart is sparking at your feet
You won't leave 'till you've spoken
And your fists will pound 'till we're beat
You're a liar
Make the smoke swirl and spin
And call it magic so they'll fly higher
Into the moments that have been
Your hands are broken
And you're a pillar of flame
You won't leave 'till you've spoken
And suffocated the world with shame
You're a seamstress
Snatching up old sins
That aren't yours to confess,
Secrets you'd bled from beneath my skin
