Dec 2014
amid the decaying bones of love
a voracious mold grew
its coverage twas of an
aubergine hue

interred in the tomb
the lamentable strains of death
all of love's happiness
starved of breath

a nothingness resided
in this dark and dismal dwelling
all of the fulfillment drained
from love's promising shelling

in the depths of the grave
the marrow of love did diminish
it twas an awful pall for the two
to have come to such a finish

as the worms took sustenance
upon the couple's once living tissue
they did taste the bitterness
of love's residue
