Dec 2014
I run through the darkness,
Wind pressing against my face,
I hear a noise,
I quicken my pace.

I keep running,
I see the air I'm breathing,
I keep breathing faster,
Knowing I have a follower.

I hear a growl,
I quickly turn around,
I stop fast in my tracks.
To see it's my fears,
Standing above the ground.

I stand fast,
I stand my ground,
Against my biggest fears,
I'm no longer safe and sound.
I know my fears and they hurt to face, but each and every day I learn to face one. I'm no longer afraid.
