I wake up
Naked as hell
Skin as white as clouds
A few days before the storm
Throw on a robe
**** bathroom mirror
Reveals a face
That’s got flesh singing of
Deep buried families in banks of snow
Frozen suffocation on the way home from grandmas
You ask me why
Why I smother my features
Plaster over them
Makeup thick as oil
Chalked on like a shield
Why I parade myself
In these slinky dresses
That hang around me
Like enemy war flags
Wishing to challenge you
I grapple with the words
The explanations I cease to find
Leave me with
Show up
Just wait
To see me
Naked as hell
A lover pulled night toward me
Obscuring blind monotony
Those too-harsh rays,
The day-to-day malaise of living

As her silver, moon-lake body haplessly suppressed
My initial force of life
The seeds I kept hidden from view
Were strewn among her faulty self, where
They began to crop up thickly

Splitting rocks
In her center’s harsh asymmetry
They marred that once delightful face
If inconsequentially
But as her orbit wanes ahead,
Like a crashing moon with star tattoos
Her beauty will veer and fall away,
Then
I’ll be moist and will not wither in the heat always
Instead I’ll shiver and I’ll wonder
Why the sun is gone today

my room smells like stale cigarettes
a bunch of wilted flowers on my bedside
and so i lay them over your grave
in the cemetery where my thoughts go to die
the lazy afternoon ***** with jim morrison
and pete townsend watching us from the walls
jars of ***** collecting in my closet because
im still throwing up the milk i ****** from you
when i was still a child and you were a man
when you took your coffee black
and mine was almost white in comparison
A handful of stones are on my floor
some from today some from before
lets take a look and try to see
what the stones would like to be
one is an otter , I can see him
ready to jump and going to swim
next is a dragon tiny and green
only a baby, only a wean
one is a woodmouse ears all spread out
ready to run at danger's first shout
here is a kitten furry and sweet
rolling and playing all over your feet
here is a wickerman waiting to burn
there is a young owl ready to learn
one is a flower one a child on the stairs
another a rabbit two more are for hares
but last of all is the favorite one
well, that is for me, my secret fun...
There is also one that appears to be James toseland on his '07 championship winning Hanspree Ten Kate 1,000 cc Honda fireblade.
Try fitting that into a wee kids poem..
If an easy rain
would make the rocks slippery,
he would hold my hand.
