Emma
I'm hoping
One of these days
That when I sleep
For hours on end
I won't wake up
Because maybe
My brain will forget
How to breath
While my mind
Drifts to different dreams
And maybe
I won't have to
Face another dreadful
Day

And maybe,
Just maybe,
You'll miss me.

some days he's gone
some days she's here
some days he's here
some days it's here

but on the days he & she are gone
I don't notice it
I don't feel different
but some people do

you aren't entitled to know
if he's here or gone
you aren't me either way

he's gone here to stay.
a poem on gender fluidity. who are you to walk up to anyone and demand to know their gender? one second he's a boy and suddenly she's a girl. gender is an personal act not a political statement. if I don't care to get personal with you don't get upset.
Apathetic disposition
Plundered all emotion
It was a curse to be her everything
The fragile egg she clung to
It was as though
moon-flowers bloomed from my eyes
Never mind the thorns
That bulged out
Of my irises

What was I to do
With the abundance of affection
Would I forever be in her debt
Walk the straight and narrow
Sorely to express my gratitude
And relieve my ever so burdened conscious.
I HEARD the old, old men say,
"Everything alters,
And one by one we drop away."
They had hands like claws, and their knees
Were twisted like the old thorn-trees
By the waters.
I heard the old, old men say,
"All that's beautiful drifts away
Like the waters."
Oh, I can't be held responsible,
For all the veins I've robbed!
It's just that I'm insatiable,
And lord knows this world is mobbed!

No, I won't be held responsible,
For all the pain I've caused.
Look at what I have to work with!
You're not the only one who's lost!

I won't take all the blame!
I won't bear all the shame!
I'll take my share with love-and-care,
And nail it to my name!

Just mutilate my life's portrait—
Just **** in my cosmic pool!—
But when, in Hell, our paths do cross,
Just know that you're the tool!
These are song lyrics that are woven into a nightclub scene in a cross-over novella, "Crimson Metal" (wherein the main character from my Crimson Shadow series meets the main characters from my Death Metal books). The lady in the rafters
Though her image was slight,
She knew every string
And heard angels every night

Each board was her fortress
Every fracture, her eye
She knew she could either stay here or die

Yes, her world was an attic
Forgotten  by many
Except for the strings
With their love notes heavy

The cold was her blanket
With the fire outside
And the stars always watching
And the birds by her side

The lady in the rafters
Her heart ever light
Hearing truths in her slumber
And angels every night

Navarana
Her gaze upon you is
empty
Her fingers are no longer
playing
Her face has no expression
anymore

Enter the woods

Her white lips are sealed
shut
Her skin ages and dries
in
Her brown vivid eyes grows
distant

Enter the woods

Enter the woods

Her flesh rots off of her
skeleton
Her eyeballs pops out of her
skull
Her bony gaze is
fixated

Enter the woods

Enter the woods

Enter the **woods
Don't let my absence take you by surprise
I promised I'd wait for you
When you wake up and open your eyes,
And turn to your side
But I'm gone.
Never to return again.

Etched within reason
I knew the truth
But decided to ignore it all the same
Don't try to sway my opinion
I'll nod my head
Smile
And move towards the back
Yep your opinion counts
But I'm not interested
It bores me
I'm fundamentally proud
whatever that means
But hey
I watched them plant a willow tunnel in the grounds today
And now I want one
I really, really want one
Smack bang in the middle of my garden
Yes I know I wont have much garden left
But hey I can hide away from the world
The eternal bleeps of life
A poetess and her den
fragmented in her belief that life really is worth living
No really
It really is worth it
But you have to believe in yourself first
Or you just wont get it.
