 Aug 2017 oh darling
JH
My mother told me to stay away from drugs,
She knew what they could do,
Hallucinations and paranoia are just a few.

My mother told me to stay away from alcohol,
She knew what they could do,
Nausea and headaches are just a few.

My mother understood danger,
Yet she never understood you.

She never warned me about the boy with blue eyes,
She never warned me about his smirk,
She never warned me about how he lurked.

My mother didn't know what you could do,
Hallucinations,
Paranoia,
Nausea,
Headaches,
Are just a few.

It wasn't until my mother compared the two,
She said "drugs and alcohol are a lot safer for you",
It was then I knew.

Love is a greater danger and I should have stayed away from you.
Hello again!

I wish my mother could have warned me about love. I never knew it could hurt this much. It's odd how we are all warned about drugs and alcohol, yet we aren't warned about love.

We aren't taught how to deal with heartache
