for You have been mine,
in sweet, loving surrender -
to You, i will be
like light from above,
dew that covers the morning,
grace more than enough

in your long absence,
soft rain watered the garden
growing in my heart -
it waits patiently for you;
my divine endless summer
Gamaliel Mar 30
and in Your secret
and silent dwelling places,
love overwhelms me -
unfailing and unchanging,
deeper and deeper i fall

Entry #24

Psalm 90:14
Psalm 30:5B

We are in a difficult time. It is the same for all of us. The situation is comparable to a long, dark night. There's fear and panic and it's hard to be at peace. However, there's hope. Heroes are on the frontlines fighting the pandemic and the world is doing everything to contain the virus.

God is sovereign and He is always in control. We are in the palm of His hand and we have no reason to be afraid. We know that this too will come to pass - as all things do.

On the 19th day of March, Wuhan - epicenter of the virus outbreak - reported for the first time since the start of the pandemic that there are no new cases in the city and its surrounding provinces.

"Today we have seen the dawn after so many days of hard effort," said Jiao Yahui, a senior inspector at the National Health Commission.

Morning will come.

David sang about it. He knows that joy comes with the morning no matter how long the difficult and miserable night lasts. Moses prayed to God about it. God's steadfast love abounds in the morning. His love satisfies our souls and gives us a reason to rejoice and be glad all the days of our lives.

You are happier than you have ever been. You are home in distant sunsets and pastel horizons. You are safe in the arms of someone else. And, that smile across your face, it tells a million stories I will never be a part of.

Here I am, in the side of a winding road. Consumed marrow-deep. Haunted by the past. Terrified of what lies ahead. Wondering if I will ever stop longing for you.

Do you see an end to this?

Darkness looming. Ghosts rousing. Pangs creeping into the surface. Pangs leaving the depths.

Pangs are all that is left.

Love dies. Love leaves. Love fades.

Pangs are all that will be left.

In a world without you, sunsets will ever consume me.
