Dinner with my family
A night of fearless sleep

In Reno it's the big blue sky
In California it's the coast
She haunts my aging nights
A kind of teenage ghost

I too will pass away
Vanish with a trace
Her ****, **** voice
The beauty of her face

                    Space!

I can't find the words
Don't know what to say
Got the diabetes
Poe, Finn, and Rey

I'm up in the night
Sleep in the day
Hugs, she said to me
Silently I pray

Northern Virginia isn't ****
But it's solid, steady, stable
Once I was a teacher there
Now I am disabled
