If we are to spend our lives writing poetry
Then it seems to me
We ought to try to write great poetry,
Poetry that endures.

And if we endeavor to do that
We can be certain of two things:

1. We shall most likely fail.

2. If we succeed, we will never know it.
Once I was a teacher
Read books to the tweens
Flush. Holes. Hoot.
City of Ember. Things Not Seen.

Now I'm just a dad
