Dancing
In the meadow
During a snow storm
Sneezing and freezing

Red beacons search far out to sea with amber harbor lights panning the white , wailing , crystalline oceanside , revealing her nighttime ferocity* ...

the bewildered man
stumbles through his strict routine
say, cherchez la femme

Being the numb **** I ought to be,
Just like that I crossed the line again;
*Strangers being stranger than where they started.

Slumped on an old pink couch, television
test pattern flickering off their biscotti
painted walls,  Pall Mall smoldering
on the rug beneath Jack’s fingers,
Lorene mostly dead, Jack might
as well be;  early a.m., dark.

What do you do
when you have
nothing to do
think about death
or what you could do
not doing anything
but thinking of all
you could
could take hours.

On one summit
Among the myriad
Mountains

Ups and downs
Of the hiker

Crawling valley
Pilgrimized

Leaping crevass
Energized

Climbing huff-
Puffing

Downslope
Freewheeling

Each dawn
Each sunset

Uniquely
Surprized

Simple thing

Walking soflty

Rice-papered

Crocus lost
Halfway down
A dusty field

Saffron
Intelligence

Golden rice
Sustaining
Body
