I see a sunset in the west,
The fishes and turtles under the ocean take their rest,
Palm trees here and there;
The sun is fading in the air.

Royal-blue waves crashing in motion,
A sea turtle peeps up out of the ocean,
The sunset bears shades of red and gold;
Colours so vivid and bold!

The sunrays slant under the bay,
It's nearly the end of a beautiful day,
The sun slants under the sea;
This place is so dear to me!

Four palm trees on a high cliff,
I breathe in the salty-sea all in a surprised sniff,
I heave a sigh;
While on the beautiful island I lie.

One cliff and another one in the distance I see,
What a beautiful treasure to see is the pretty sea,
So beautiful is the day;
No wonder people call this beautiful place Turtle Bay!

*~Marian~
A rocking chair for two to share
upon the porch we built
with lemonade and hair in braid
and kisses without guilt

The bullfrogs song moves night along
as stars in heaven play
and you intwine your hand in mine
melting my cares away

The setting sun where wild deers run
marks soft the end of day
you touch my face with gentle grace
and drive all doubts away

The night floats in on silent wings
the cool night air now cold
so come now bed my angel said
this day has grown so old

Remember though before we go
to make it widely known
the rocking chair is ours to share
and ours my love alone
Nightmares,
are complete nonsense,
don't worry about them,
was what she was once told.
She woke up from another dream,
where she was stuck,
frozen in place,
as the evil monsters,
circled her
and advanced,
slowly,
one step at a time,
closing the circle,
tighter and tighter,
until she felt she couldn't breathe.
Then she would wake up.
But this time it was different,
she woke up
to darkness.
She tried to get up,
but someone,
was holding her down.
Something was over her face,
suffocating her.
Her nightmares were warnings,
when she was little.
But now they're reality.
She knows,
that if she doesn't act,
her nightmare,
will win.
And she won't wake up,
this time.
Kind of a play off of one of my poems. http://hellopoetry.com/poem/failure-is-kind/
Stop ******* me with your eyes

your hands are faster.
It's second hand
yet hardly used
though I have found
it's eas'ly bruised
it's bumped and bent
and deeply scarred
yet tender still
and never hard
it's had it's share
of lifes hard knocks
and been around
a dozen blocks
theres signs of cracks
and wear and tear
but it still works
of that I swear
give it a spin
enjoy the feel
of love unspoilt
from a heart that's real.
She dropped her anchor
in my port
and then her heart
charming I thought
silver dripping
from my lips
a mere link
to finger tips
that offered me
her clasp undone
chaining two lives
forever one
a bracelet on a silken wrist
her hand upon mine own
as reconnected they became
keys to our happy home.
9-2-5 I work to buy
a new charm every year
and add a fresh new chapter
to a love so rare and dear.
I used to be nice
before the world took my hand
and showed me the bad side
of everyone and everything
including me
including me

I fight everyday
to keep myself from going under
But the more I grab
the more it slips away
the more it slips
away
