you are the tangles in my hair
that i brush
over and
over and
over again
just to get you right

knocking at your door
but your never there
tripping over it again
running from the fear
yearning for that lust
something that I trust
can’t you see me there
looking through the glass
can’t you feel me there
wanting you at last

we talked about how I
seem to be noticing girls
more than guys.
how that the way some
of these beautiful women
speak
          look
                  act
                        are
makes my
lips quiver
makes my
heart skip beats
makes my
mind race with thoughts.

I thought maybe I could
control these feelings but
the dreams I have of the
faceless woman has shone
that I'm anything but

Share with me
the moon.

On a night of crescent
even death seems romantic.

The karma is coming,
hide between the trees.

Don't be greedy,
share your pillow with me.

7 billion of us
that’s a lot of mouths
and tummies to fill

You’re a farmer in Drought Land
(
How did I get here?* you ask yourself;
How do you farm dry land? we ask you)
and the weeds grow and your crops die
You need water, water, Hard Rain, plenty of Solid Rain
and the chemical engineer
Velasco of Mexico, he got just that for you
It’s powder, baby –
looks like sugar, honey;
10g of Hard Rain absorbs a Liter of Water
and it’ll stay there on your land for a year at the least

7 billion of us
that’s a lot of mouths
and tummies to fill

it doesn’t evaporate and only the roots can drink it
It’s Hard Rain going to come, baby -
that’s the promise -
it’s Hard Rain on your Dry Land;
it’s absorbent material -
this polymer, yeah baby, it’s called
potassium polyacrylate
and it’s coming to a dry land near you
it’ll lie on your land, and it’ll feed your crops
and you can sell your veggies to me
and that’ll feed me and my family
we’re just too many mouths to feed, you know,
all the 7 billion of us, baby,
on Planet Earth, on Blue Blue Earth

and maybe I’ll buy some Hard Rain myself too
for my own little Eden in my backyard
Oh, it’s Hard Rain, Hard Rain gonna fall on us all, baby
It’s Hard Rain going to come, baby -
that’s the promise
it’s Hard Rain on your Dry Land

*7 billion of us
that’s a lot of mouths
and tummies to fill
(1) This is a "news poem" - based on an article I read online....
(2) Solid Rain, the product described in the poem above, was created by Mexican chemical engineer Sergio Jésus Rico Velasco.

I woke beside
a pitch black crust
like the dust
permeating veins.

I sat upon colidascope concrete
until morning
brought birds
to carry my neck
back to you.

I collapsed onto the shore
and cried all night
because I finally outran my shadow
and the seaside
refused to share.

I pounded my fists
into the sockets
holding your eyes.
They're missing,
stolen perhaps
by another set of cheekbones.

I scraped the sky
with nails like coal,
leaving streaks of blood
across east Ohio.

I sat on the ceiling
as the fingertips of July
stretched my mind
away from fire.

Does she rub your shoulders?
I hope she does.
I really do.

For I'm loving you,
And I do not regret,
Neither loving you,

Nor the uncontrollable urge to keep loving you,
In my present & future - now & beyond always,
As I cannot repress the urge to keep loving you;

I want to take you to a lake someday for a dinner,
We will get onto the boat after food to make love,
Afterwards you can tell them all that I'm a sinner.
I've made a decision in my mind to love you.
And I don't regret the decision I made even a bit.
Love you forever & always.

chiffon tights on her broken knees
she clings to dear life but she aims to please
she wants nothing more than to be seen
but this is her life, sweet Eveline

this is the world; this is reality
but she's filled her mind with insanity
what's coming to her: she always sees
death is upon her or so she believes

so last night she told me
"goodbye my friend"
"i'm sorry to say this, but
this is the end"

i tried to make her
stay the night
but she ran away,
out of my sight
