The Way He Looked
Michelle May 2015
It wasn’t the way he looked, but the way he talked
Something about him put me in a trance
Never ever paid attention to the way someone walked
He had my head spinning ever since first glance

It wasn’t the way he looked, but the way he smiled
The way I felt with him was undeniable
His hands so soft, like the cheeks of a child
Everything about him made him so reliable

It wasn’t the way he looked, but the way he laughed
His voice so tender like a lullaby
When I heard his voice my mind just crashed
I don't want to hear him say goodbye

It wasn’t the way he looked
But I still became hooked

This is the first poem I've ever written, please tell me what you think.
