it was fleeting
it meant nothing, really
but it warms me inside
to know
we share something
that i will never let go

(i hope you won't, either)

words:
crystallized fragments
containing reality
(and unreality as well)
driven by a Logic unable
to prove its own existence.

worlds:
you exist in one;
"the Universe"
which is
everything that [n]ever was[n't]:
the moon, the sea,
space, eternity
you and me,
this poem

and the Universe is also a word
which is contained in this poem
and thus in your mind
a word contains the world
in which lives the person reading this poem
that holds

We're under the same sky
and it rains tonight.
Had I ever met you,
I'd wonder if it's lulling you to sleep.
Or keeping you awake.
tossing bed sheets to the ground
because it's hot.
Regretting it soon after
because you need a warm embrace.

Waking up in a heap of pillows,
covers and socks the next humid morning.
Forgetting to wash your face as you
walk outside.
You don't even bother to lock the door.

sanguine-souls
The waves withdraw
From the shore's warm embrace
Recoiling from the sand
Away from its touch
Yet they come crashing back
Rejoiced by the earth
Only to depart from the ground

hello
I'll be the rain
You can be a flower
Raining down
Hard
I'll collect into your soil
Drip off the sides of
Your petals
Laying contently
Until the sun comes out
Drying me up
Evaporating
Then I'm gone
