Fine

To your can't, I say won't,
and that's fine, love. That's fine.
To your try, I say don't,
and that's fine, love. That's fine.
To each failed attempt,
I say wasted ambition.
To your look of confusion,
I say you wouldn't listen.
To your heartfelt regret,
I say no need, it's fine.
I felt loved for a while
and that's mine, love. That's mine.

Touch me.
Hold me.
Bend me.
Fold me.
Ball me up.
Throw me away.
Rip me into a million shreds.
You treat my heart like, paper.

Looks like we're headed for mean season
I gave you rhyme when you needed reason
And it's a shame our ways have shifted
Passive clown, unknown grifter

Burning bridges ain't as fun as it looks
Head of bricks and a heart that cooks
Spin the top, board the pirate ship
Lobotomy's botched and so are my lips

He said, "You're riding for a terrible fall"
But stone cold statues always stand tall
How many roads till you find the right path
Everybody dies, do the math

Looks like we're headed for strange reasons
To a place that never has seasons
And it's a shame our heads have shifted
Mature clown, widowed mistress

distance

distance,
you make the miles between us appear
like a never ending desert
distance,
you make me forget the shape of his
lips
distance,
you make time freeze
distance,
you put pressure on the cracks
distance,
you kick me when i'm down
distance,
why can't i remember how his tongue
tasted?
distance,
you're not even that long, yet it's as if
i'm in another country
distance,
why must i sleep alone every night?
distance,
when can i have him again?

Samuel
A frivolous fire crept 'tween some toes
Climbed up a calf and met with a knee
Danced past a waist that nobody knows
Up through all that blind fingers see
It crawled its way over the length of the skin
And over full mountains of rib-cages when
It got to the heart
And found you there

Perfect
as the father once
told his son
                 "just wait"
I'm noticing more and more of these 10 word poems making the rounds on Hellopoetry, so I figured I'd give this new structure a shot.
