Lucky ones

Its always at an impasse
the important questions start asking themselves
you can float along a hundred
thousand
different directions and never face a hard decision
some people are born
dodging every bit of bad luck
but better than that
they are a light
anyone can be seen reflecting off of them
giving whats given

Not even in the darkness
can there be shadow
Not even in the light
can you hide
from the things that seek you
keep you through the day
holding to your skin
well into the night

The last of your words
float ceaselessly through my processes
hold me up, measure me against them
throw me down and forget
they find the one spot I forgot to armor plate
and tear away every other shred
submerge me in the darkest of waters
but saves me at the last second
if nothing else for ironies sake
its hard to think about meeting a stranger I already know
or holding a familiar body I'd never really felt
but that's your definition
you are what you never were

Instead of being born
you were given an approximation,
a number, and a grand lock
in a world made of half truths
and the whole a great salt ocean
that you will not tread

When you finally reach the surface
choking and gasping on salt water
you may realize your fatal error
and the god of wind won't fill your sails
he won't even grace your cheek
with a loving breeze of a hand

In death you may find no peace
only the absence of a body
drifting in a bitter daylight
halved and hollow hearted
all forms of life seek the simplest existence
nothing
You are a pigeon
Pecking at a pool of sick.
Leave it alone
It's pathetic
And makes everyone else
Want to add to the pool.

Cracking ribs beneath rotting flesh,
punctured lungs from shattered bone,
losing breath beneath lover's grip,
the heavy burden of accusations thrown.
Take a sip, my dear, this tonic brings
about a deeper sleep and brighter dreams,
and in the morning light when you awake
      life's song shall sing anew,
and dawn will bring to you
a freedom from your fright, from your mistake,
and yes, the ache that tears from you your soul
shall drift away, and almost leave you whole.

Caught in the middle of a nuclear warfare,
And we make love beneath the mushroom cloud,
Sparks fly amidst the dust and rubble
From the remnants of our incinerated world.
Hollow hearts like Chernobyl,
Desolate and dilapidated,
Chemicals still lingering deep beneath the soil,
Forbidden to connect and to flourish
With one another.
Veins lined with toxic waste
That spill from our mouths
When we kiss,
Our skin is radioactive
When we touch,
The boiling point
Before we have a total meltdown,
Slowly eroding
Into ash and ruins.

Craving

Waking to you in the crook of my arm;
the smell of us lingers in the crime scene
of our room.

This must be the place

Wigs and corsets,
empty bottles and riding crops.
Sugar and sweat,
cologne and *******.

Good morning sugar

Eyes flutter and lips part
as juices flow and bloods boil.
This wet and wordless union
knows no boundaries.
