At a party a guy said,
"I need a job so I can
go to the bars"
What the ****
I work 40 hours a week
so I can pay for my car
and eat
where are your priorities
am I a minority here,
surrounded by rich kids?
I just want enough to get
a grilled chicken sandwich
***** your beers and
Long Island iced teas
give me enough to
have a roof over my head
and
eat

Today, I am decrepit and
my body is not my friend.
My lungs are being unkind,
Squeezing, wheezing, teasing
With occasional, ecstatic gulps of air
It's not fair!
I am one huge ache,
I can barely stay awake.
Medicine rendering me narcoleptic,
pessimistic, antagonistic, unrealistic,
but I must still be mummy
Bathing spots, and finding dummy
I am wilting, like a week old rose,
Exhausted
(Off to wipe her nose)

Lying rigid in the frozen dewy grass, breathing fog into the air
If only I could see beyond the clouds, I'd look into the starscape
And trace the constellations with my eyes
Searching for the one we called our own
Remembering the way we lay beside each other one sacred summer night
Straining our eyes, staring longingly at meteors and satellites.
Tonight, those stars so hidden from my view are the same presiding over you
And that used to comfort me, knowing that you're not unreachable.
But tonight, I see through starry eyes
looking down at us with their celestial vision
To witness a bright and happy girl whose smile steals the world
And a broken, lonely man who used to call her "love."
Every time I think I'm getting over you... I don't. And it hurts knowing that you don't feel the same. I just want to get on with life sometimes.

to feel the ocean move through you

swimming out
the strong rolls of breaking waves
jostle you about
and you can see the height
under the water
as they roll forth and past
and you bob
up
down

dive down
to where the water meets the
deteriorating sand
the line is blurry
as each wave
picks up each grain and
jostles it about

but if you dive down
the surface sway
doesn't affect your body as much

the world seems to drop away
and you are alone with your thoughts
and breath does not seem important because
it is all so still

you are still

swim up to the surface
and chaos begins
again

According to Chemistry,

one mole = 6.02 x 10^23.

Equivalent to
A computer counting 10 billions times every second would take 2 million years to reach that number.

And that is what we are made of,
the things that we kiss, hug and live in.

We are infinite

universes ourselves.

Please, please don't let anything
dull
those
stars.

The ones that glitters your eyes,
the subtle ones that effervescently lights your very soul.
And above beyond,
the little winks playing
peek-a-boo
in
your
smile.
Sunday Nights leads to this.
Hey-hi! :')
And for those lovelies who have read my poems,
this one is for y'all.
P.S Don't worry, if this is the very first time that you have read my nonsensical writings. It's for you, you and you too!

When life becomes a dream,
From which one can’t escape,
Reality a distant memory,
To which one can’t relate,
It takes a special talent,
To keep oneself in shape.

When all around have faltered,
Living up to one’s expectations,
Friends suddenly becoming strangers,
Along with forgotten relations,
It is time to set one’s sights,
On undiscovered destinations.

To search out the missing link,
That makes one’s life complete,
To exercise the flagging spirit,
Until one’s mind overcomes defeat,
To truly know oneself once more,
Turning the ebbing tide of retreat.

When one finally accepts the Karma,
That belongs to man by right,
Thoughts finding the given destiny,
Illuminated by inner sight,
One’s dream eventually touches peace,
Where life blossoms in the light.

For those with a rich fantasy world - mostly artist and poets, the creative people, like us readers, like you, for instance - where we can, for at least a little while, live in our dreams, find even love and peace there, for a little while, at least, as Confucius says, Am I a man dreaming I am a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming I am a man: or was it Buddha? Such if the life of a dreamer, I forget.
