My finger plucks
a tune from a
blue Monday
morning.

These small mandalas
of intricate shapes  
and colours  
that wind
and twirl,
and bind
my scattered
and easily flustered
mind
into focus-
And into a calmer state,
settling my soul
just enough,
just for tonight,
just to get through
another day

heartbeats and breathing
