She settles
as I never will
for safety over passion.
Curious this upsets me so
but look it's me in blithe disguise
the settler cringing from my gaze
my wrath a hammer on her
wherever I pretend I'm small
and can't I need a rescue
There dreams reduced to smoldering ash
it's me so sorry sorry
my righteousness a clueless clue
to what I dare not dare to do

Some call it fun
         we slam slam the water
can't stop too late too far to go
slow's as rough as fast you see
it's nightmare ***
          we slam slam the water
Ride it to the end pray God
stay low  just bend  no power
force of speed hard water
brace against the hit-ting hit-ting
stop just             stop
    I can't                 can't
       endure              dure
          more                 *more

I try to be no bother
make only small and sweet
but energy expands in waves
that cannot be discreet
with mouth shut tight
expression felt
as hobbled crazy
laughs and screams
**from deepest night
Sand Crane wails despair.

Safety:      Care for me
Safety:      Show me how.
Safety :     Keep them out.
Safety :     You know the score.
Safety :     Dull the fears, dream no more.

Vacation was a workshop
in life supporting heat
in sweet relief and yeasted space
the flat raw dough did rise and bloom
no longer hidden heavy weight
Express and knead it now !
Unconscious is thus manifest
until it's worked there is no rest
Inconvenient ? That's too bad.
Life's what we have
not what we had.

Melted through my core
Fire's fed within
Returning now to winter's freeze
Warmth remains reality
Zone of joy not fahrenheit
and Grateful breaths of ease
K Mae Feb 2013
I'm flying away from winter
to feast with palms and bougainvillea
egrets, pelicans, banyan trees
assuring my enraptured ease
I may be silent for awhile...
may return with sunmelt style
