A B Perales
Only a fool
could believe
there was nothing
waiting on me
on the other side
of all of this.

It could
be riches or
could be death.

Or maybe even a brown
haired beauty
with amber eyes
and blood red lips.
A touch so gentle
the cracks on these prison
walls began to weep
at her touch.

A fresh bottle already opened
next to a clean glass
already filled.
With an ice cube afloat
that has melted just enough
to chill the sting.

Or a pistol locked
and loaded with
malice and
****** left in its
wake.

A friendship yet to
be formed or a
lonely bar keep with
a half truth tale
to tell.

A moment of calm to be felt
at the sight of the
theater that is
the sky and the
sea at sunset.

I'd be lying only
to myself if I thought
there was nothing beyond these
deadened hours
and wasted days.
Nothing waiting as patiently
as a poor man in a well fare
line,for me.

It could be anything
or anyone of those things.
Or it could be death in the form
of a ****** fix,
a vengeful enemy who's
had too much to
drink and too many
rounds for him to miss.

A drunk out for a
Sunday drive,
or a strong enough
wind that felt
the need to fall an
ancient oak
right on top of me.

Tommy
I want you to remember
That to write
Is to express yourself,
The flicks on your n's
And the loops on your f's
Show me the inner workings of your mind.
When she sent that letter,
There should have been tears on the page,
You should have been able to see
The corners had been folded and torn,
And the paper was *****, crumpled,
And covered in coffee stains.
You couldn't see any of that, though,
Because she chose to send it to you
In the form of a small series of lights,
Accumulated on a screen
To mimic a cold,
Soulless version of herself.
Maybe it's because she didn't want you to know
What was actually going on.
Oh the irony :P to be fair this is a copy up of a handwritten poem!
I am a royal **** up.
I fall apart regularly
It has become normal
For tears to well
For my heart to swell
For I live with too much passion
And not enough practicality.
I'm sorry for being your daughter
I'm sorry for being sick
I'm sorry for destroying this family.
You are ashamed of my life
And I am too.
We mourn the loss of
My joy
My happiness
My dreams.
But wait,
Foul play is suspected.
The persons of interest include
The bullies
My daddy problems
My assault
But the real culprit who stole all my passion
Goes by these aliases, but his name is
*Depression.
Gnawing, that’s what you do
All of you
Dogs teeth on a bone
Mauling
Tearing
Shredding
Razorsharp
Gleam in the eye of the night
Blood stained fangs
Sink into your heart
Rip it apart
Smile
Woman
I am man’s best friend.
Everywhere.
Can’t escape
These Hounds
Fur caked with the blood of
The wounded and dead
***** Depraved Heartless Creature
You live in the shadows
Licking your teeth waiting for prey
Because it is only meat you crave
And the smell of it makes you raw with power
You are not noble, not high, not to be trusted
How many  innocents have been betrayed
With your hollow words
The sudden flash of your knife
Your cold vicious stabbing
That says
I will love you over and over
With my dagger buried to its hilt while you cling
To my whisper
Until you trust nothing, believe nothing are nothing
You will be a rag doll of emptiness when I have taken
All from you.
And then my pack will come
pack after pack after pack
each like me
And you will be swallowed in the fury
Of my heartlessness
I am man’s best friend
And you are only
Woman

Wolf girl
her movement so strange
like she's drowning from
the voices in her head
a psychosis, senses streaking
like words flooded on the
page of her one of her books
thrumming, humming bodies
before her eyes that she
is caught like a disease
and the sedition of her
mind
like a forest in flames
echoes like the last time
she
held
his
hands
and
looked inside him
those worn pieces of concrete
& soot
plummet & plunge
leaving only the boy.
Only
the
boy
who refused to cry wolf
against her

"See! warp is stretched
For warriors' fall,
Lo! weft in loom

'Tis wet with blood;
Now fight foreboding,
'Neath friends' swift fingers,
Our grey woof waxeth
With war's alarms,
Our warp bloodred,
Our weft corseblue.

"This woof is y-woven
With entrails of men,
This warp is hardweighted
With heads of the slain,
Spears blood-besprinkled
For spindles we use,
Our loom ironbound,
And arrows our reels;
With swords for our shuttles
This war-woof we work;
So weave we, weird sisters,
Our warwinning woof.

"Now Warwinner walketh
To weave in her turn,
Now Swordswinger steppeth,
Now Swiftstroke, now Storm;
When they speed the shuttle
How spearheads shall flash!
Shields crash, and helmgnawer
On harness bite hard!

"Wind we, wind swiftly
Our warwinning woof
Woof erst for king youthful
Foredoomed as his own,
Forth now we will ride,
Then through the ranks rushing
Be busy where friends
Blows blithe give and take.

"Wind we, wind swiftly
Our warwinning woof,
After that let us steadfastly
Stand by the brave king;
Then men shall mark mournful
Their shields red with gore,
How Swordstroke and Spearthrust
Stood stout by the prince.

"Wind we, wind swiftly
Our warwinning woof.
When sword-bearing rovers
To banners rush on,
Mind, maidens, we spare not
One life in the fray!
We corse-choosing sisters
Have charge of the slain.

"Now new-coming nations
That island shall rule,
Who on outlying headlands
Abode ere the fight;
I say that King mighty
To death now is done,
Now low before spearpoint
That Earl bows his head.

"Soon over all Ersemen
Sharp sorrow shall fall,
That woe to those warriors
Shall wane nevermore;
Our woof now is woven.
Now battlefield waste,
O'er land and o'er water
War tidings shall leap.

"Now surely 'tis gruesome
To gaze all around.
When bloodred through heaven
Drives cloudrack o'er head;
Air soon shall be deep hued
With dying men's blood
When this our spaedom
Comes speedy to pass.

"So cheerily chant we
Charms for the young king,
Come maidens lift loudly
His warwinning lay;
Let him who now listens
Learn well with his ears
And gladden brave swordsmen
With bursts of war's song.

"Now mount we our horses,
Now bare we our brands,
Now haste we hard, maidens,
Hence far, far, away."
Njal's Saga
Soaring through the sky, going higher
Roaring with a breath of fire
He is searching to rescue his mistress
He knows somewhere she is in distress

He looks so majestic high in the sky
Searches around the land with a lizard's eye
He would give his life to save her
He begins to seek so much further

Three knights have caught the maiden in a field
They will force her and they will make her yield
But the dragon comes roaring with a ball of flame
Putting and end to what would be their wicked game

She is so happy to see her brave loyal friend
On her dragon she knows she can always depend
Climbs on his back, and they ride through a cloud
He takes her back to the village, a dragon so proud
