Beyond the thoughts
that keep us bound
fear
suffering
anger  
love
we will fly
though it be fleeting

we savor
the height
while craving
the ground below
knowing
it takes both
to make
a soul

Sunday morn' caffeine buzzed
rushing
around from chores to my computer screen
scrolling
for rhymes whilst silverware and glasses soak
knowing
nothing is really getting done
except maybe my blood pressure
and the cats
wriggling tale!
