I love photographs,
They can capture what you were,
And lie to the world.

Daisies And Stories
It is the way you bite your bottom lip when you're reading something you can't understand

It is the way you your voice gets softer when you feel like you're saying something stupid

It is the way you tap your fingers on your arm when you get nervous

It is the smell of your cologne

It is the way your eyes light up and how the smile on your face never leaves when you're talking about something you love

It is the way you look with a necktie

It is your hair when it is disheveled

It is the (adorable) way you avoid puddles when it's raining out

It is the way your hand always ends up in mine and how my eyes can't stop memorizing every inch of you

He told me how he
Got his scars,
So I told him about
My past lovers

The ones who abused me,
The ones who confused me,
The ones who I thought were
"The one"

We laid in the dark room
Under the blanket
Softly caressing one another
Speaking tongues of love

He's always loved me,
And I've always been
Too afraid to admit my
Feelings towards him

We're getting closer again
And even though I know
He would never hurt me,
I'm scared

I'm scared to love again
And I'm scared of attachment.
I'm scared of jealousy, anxiety
And things going wrong

But as we laid in
The dark together,
I could hear in his voice
How much he wanted me

I can't help but think that
Maybe, just maybe
I want him, too.

You are beautiful ~

don't tell me otherwise...

Because I won't believe you ~

I can see it with my own eyes...

You are beautiful ~

don't believe your own lies...

*Please see what I see.
Some people don't know they are beautiful.
This is to remind you.

Said Mother Earth to her three sons " What good have you done today?". One son said " I have conquered for you, and have laid many down." Say's Mother Earth, " I know I could  feel their pain as you laid them in my arms." Said son number two,"I have fetched you a feast from many poor farmers fields. This feast is all for you". " I know",  said Mother Earth," I feel the grumble of many empty stomachs."  The third son said meekly," I have done nothing. I saw a dying man alone and afraid, and I used my time to comfort him."  Say's Mother Earth," I know, he speaks kindly of you.  You my son have done good."
So I ask you, "What good have you done today"?

Will this worry you?
Trust me, I am being truthful.

What if I left you, love?
Will you miss me?
Does it break your heart a little when you think about it?

Is there even anyone else in the world who'd share your lovely mornings with you?
Drinking coffee?
Snuggling under the covers?
Morning pillow fights?

Hmmm, what about in the afternoons?
Who will visit you at work?
Who will mess with you - while you work?
Does it make you tear up a little, if I left you now?
Who will make you laugh endlessly?
Tickle you while you cook a desired dish?
Throw popcorn at you during a movie?

Let's not forget the end of the day.
Who else would be lying beside you as you both watch the stars?
Who would kiss you passionately giving their every warmth to you?
Who would gaze at you intensely with their silver, soft eyes?
And who else would share the endless night with you,
like we always do...?

Please do tell me who else in this immeasurable place..
could ever love you the way that I always have?
You should tell me also if there is anyone in existence..
that would risk their life to die just to save yours?

Answer these please.
So that I can have an absolute reason to let you go,
because right now it really does hurt too much inside...♥

Theia Eos
She stood here among blades of grass;
beautiful under the sun
and even when the raindrops
weigh heavy on her petals,
she has enough strength
to hold herself up.

She was always facing towards
the white picket fence,
where she could hear and see
the strides of shoes and rolls of wheels.
But no matter how many people pass by,
no one seemed to notice her there;
small and insecure.

So she lived her life wishing
she was brighter and prettier,
maybe taller
so she could look over the fence
and shout,
"Hey! I'm here! I exist! Notice me!"

But little did she know that behind her,
stood a flower who have always
admired her from a distance.
Though he couldn't get up and walk to her,
see her face and feel her heart,
he knew she lacked confidence and needed love.

He wanted so much to run to her,
but he couldn't defy nature
and grow legs and arms
to reach out and hold her close.
So he stays still and whispers to the wind
a message for her:
"I've loved you since the very first day
and I wish it was so easy to be with you."
But it never reached her, she never listened.

Three years passed and nothing has changed -
he loved her, she felt unworthy and never noticed him.
Until came the day he feared most;
she began to wilt.
She couldn't hold herself any longer
and wanted to go.
So she let her roots dry and her petals turned brown.

There was never a day he didn't cry
because even now the sun can't wake her.
And there was never a day he didn't wish he could also
begin to wilt so he could join
her soft remnants
somewhere up in the sky.

my mother always used to say
(usually in distaste for someone else's behavior):

"if the shoe fits."

as a child i
puzzled over this phrase.

i never understood people who hated their mothers
mine seemed alright
we'd have a fight
once in awhile...
but i think it was when
i was sitting with a judge
on my right hand
my mother in front of me
and the brown-toothed woman lawyer
next to her
both of them
talking out the corner of their mouths
bringing up
any bad thing
i'd ever done
and some that
i hadn't
that i finally realized
what "if the shoe fits"
truly
meant.

that day i guessed your size,
mother.
and i knew
just which pair of shoes
you'd chosen to wear
for the rest of your life.
one is called
mockery
the other is called
bitterness
and you have a backup pair named
hatred
and
scorn

today i looked at her
in her shoes that fit all too perfectly
(like they were even
made for her)
and realized
that they are one of the things
(out of many)
i wouldn't like to
inherit...

mother,
if the shoe fits...
wear it.
