Here I stand a champion
A winner every time
In the contest of my life
Victory is mine

Others feel defeated
A huge letdown to be sure
But I'll take your hand in mine
And walk you to the shore

Don't look back in anger
Grinning ear to ear
Just walk away with your head held high
Triumphant and well aware

The ocean's green, the sky is blue
In a different shade or two
The clouds are white, a yellow sun
Just remember who it was that won

Be graceful in defeat
Just like when we win
In reaching for perfection
We had to first begin

There will come a day
Defeat is unavoidable
And that's when you shall shine
Brighter than a lightning's strike
Victory is mine
I can write a song or two
And leave it all behind
Then I'll go and run off to
Somewhere to unwind

I have special powers
The gift of invisibility
I can multiply my numbers
There's one, there's two, now three

I can look you in the eye
If it's for you to decide
To stand up tall like a man
Or hide where I can't find

The answer is not really clear
It's muddled and unrefined
Reaching out to lend a hand
Grasping at what's mine

Held onto for way too long
Until it becomes a crime
But I don't mind a single bit
No, no, I don't mind

There's a bird to be set free
I know they'll come a time
When I'll spread my wings and fly away
With you by my side

Transparency is a welcomed sight
I love what you've become
The missing piece of the puzzle
The apple of my eye
I do not claim to have my masters,
But, at times I can be quite daft
The knowledge that I now possess
Helps me understand my past

The past holds all the answers
It's just circling its course
It did not take me 1000 years
To be this well rehearsed

A diamond ring in a cloudy sky still shines
As I reminisce to better times
Fleeting thoughts of a ***** mind
Can not one moment be defined

Erase the past and move forward
To the horizon up ahead
Separate the good from bad
Remember what was said

Listen to the voice of reason
Do not feel resigned
There is no gold at the end of a rainbow
None that you will find

Instead, rely on instinct
A reflex if you're blind
To help you see what is important
Made all by Gods design
Society has lost its luster
The life as we once knew
Has been thrown out to the wayside
The one to blame is smirking, hidden behind his pew

Blurting out his thoughts
On how it's all fake news
Debating, not creating
His obnoxious point of view

I once was proud to be an American
Now I haven't got a clue
What I hear and what I see
Is there something we can do?

How did all this happen
I thought he'd get a vote or two
Not become our president
Representing the red, the white, and blue

There's blacks fighting neo nazis
Bombs, they're plentiful
Oh what a disaster
Chaos is sure to ensue

War now seems inevitable
I wish it weren't true
This has got me in a bad way
I've had it now, I'm through
Impeach
Of  course, of course  we'd take the world by force
What did you expect, it's not your fault you were coerced
Laser beams and rockets
Missiles up their sleeves
A ******* war that all concerns
What are we trying to achieve
Something has to be done
This has gotten out of hand
Impeach, impeach, impeach!
Please impeach this "man".
Short poem, but I believe my point was made.
I sought out the Oracle
With hopes of wealth and fame
A concept so deplorable
The remorse and the shame

I never did complete my task
It haunts me to this day
With an attitude a little crass
Yet, still pumping through my veins

I had to set aside my fears
They'd held me back thus far
There's no need to shed your tears
How will you count the stars?

Right next to you, a wounded heart
It lay beneath my skin
Palpitations off the charts
Oh, the shape I'm in

No more time to panic
Take it all in stride
Maybe I'm just manic
Swallowing my pride
Junk man come,
Junk man go
Through the hottest summers
Through winters windy blow

Junk man paints his pictures
His art which never sold
Junk man's growing tired
Junk man's growing old

Until the day that he lay lifeless
His body freezing cold
His real name only a mystery
That no one really knows

Upon his death his final painting
Lay beside his frozen soul
It was displayed in a fine gallery
Labeled " From parts unknown"

In awe stood the audience
His work of art to be behold
Junk man's piece that he had painted
Was the true star of the show
Bidders for this work of art
Bid high until it sold

He left behind his legacy
He lived hard and he lived bold
Underestimated and discarded
He'd have been worth his weight in gold
