Please?
Jannat Dec 2020
I'm broken, shattered,
But no one seemed to pick up the fragments,
I'm going down,
But nobody seemed to lend a helping hand,
I'm in the pitch black,
But no one seemed to have given me a light,
I'm on my own,
But nobody seemed to be accompanying me,
I ought to be rescued,
But nobody's there to save me.
Well, what about you?
Will you pick up the fragments which everyone abandoned?
Will you catch me when I fall?
Will you  bring me light when it's dark?
Will you prove to me that I'm not alone?
Will you be saving me?
Please, please?
Normally i have no one that could help me. I have this one really best friend who herself and her mum really care about me, and that's who I am relating to in this poem, asking if she will be the one.

Escaping Reality
Jannat Dec 2020
Walking through every day, eye to eye with new problems that may remain forever,
Feeling as though the truth would never find its way to justice,
This ever-changing world has imprisoned and tortured me.

Running away or leaving there's just no difference,
That is enough, even if it's momentary,
A short or long break ,
I want to hide from existence,
But I'm never going to escape from life itself,
It's going to take me,
And pump me away with despair and fear,
Just let me fly away,
Just for a while...

I'm looking at the moon and stars,
And imaging a image of a beautiful lady,
Pleasantly singing upon the fallen world,
"Close your eyes and run away with me"
"The home you desire is what lies ahead."

I closed my eyes, I realised,
I've escaped my fantasies,
I have been soaring through the skies,
Far off from the town and the birds,
They reach, but they can only do so much in their inferior ways,
I glide swiftly over the great waves looking for new, spectacular horizons,
And explored the ever-growing world to pass the far reaches,
And the ends and edges which have never been met or seen.
I've made my escape.

Opening my eyes brought me straight to reality,
Knowing visions are minutes long, yet hours have elapsed.
I was sleeping tirelessly through the aching streams of misery,
Life has caught me.
But life is nothing without dreaming,
Without these beautiful dreams we'll all be mindless creature, achieving nothing to leave a life of nothing.
