home is where you don't fear moths are lining your bath
home is where you have a plate pretty enough to make you want to finish your meals
home is where your mother's hands tremble as she strokes your father's favourite spot on the old leather couch
home is where your father cries into your mother's old lace curtains
home is where you sit in a messy pile of your childhood memories and watch them burn
don't let me tell you what home is
I am free
Free from the evil thoughts
That corrupted me
Free from the rain
That poured down and covered me
I am free

She got a ticket to nowhere
and bought it with a bucket of dreams.
Dreams that were traded
for a vast plain of empty seeds.

She planted drops of hope
and watered the fields
with devotion and attention.
Only to be left with dead seedlings
of bitter dissension.

With her soul account emptied and bare
she had invested everything
for a plentiful harvest to
sustain nutrition and share.
She plowed and plowed
But the sprouts she tried to cultivate
Stayed dormant and bowed
throughout a lifetime of relentless drought.

The sun still rises
and there is water from my tears
with enough attention and some discarded fears
Perhaps one little seed will take hold
and enter the world
with new blooms
that beautifully unfold.

Back in the saddle all suited up
she figures
maybe
just maybe
if I don't give up

With just one seed from her pocket
buried deep in a survivor's locket
she patted it down
and drenched it with faith
Called on her angels and down came the rain.
"Keep on sowing your seed, for you never know which will grow - perhaps it all will."~Albert Einstein

Why didn't you order chinese tea
like we usually had

or break the glass and plate
just to see the waitress bend?

We let the boat, corroded,
taking us to the middle of sea

and though it was raining hard
your tears were the only I did see.

3/
You stood like a tree,
breathed thunder.

We're each other's fire
and that's how I believe in forever.

I'd prefer to stuff my love for you
in a concise, zip-locked easy to reheat bit,
rather than let it sprawl across fields of space.
I'd rather have a zealous moment than
a dull eternity.
I'd rather love you fervently for a second
than spread thin over an hour.

Just let me give you what I have, and ask for nothing more.
Know that I love you
More than any crashing wave
Loves the breaking shore.

I turn my music louder so I don't have to hear myself cry
I turn my back to reality and choose to sit on the naive part of the bench
Won't let the blue slide distract me....
My problems seem much more vibrant than the thick plastic makeup of this childhood playground
My own childhood recedes as love envelopes me
Your voice lingers in my head, whispering "I love you"
but it shouts when I hear you say "I can't"
I write my feelings down on paper so as not to spoil the sweet, innocent air that surrounds me
My pain is poured out of my pen and onto this paper,
Out of my eyes and onto this wooden bench
thats been marked with love and promises of forever
Promises that will never float off of your lips and kiss my ears
I love you
I turn my music louder so I don't have to hear myself cry

To whoever finds this...
Tell him,
I love him.
(He probably hates me)
Tell him,
I'm sorry.
(But, he'll never forgive me)
Tell him,
I didn't want to hurt him.
(But I  know I did)
Tell him,
This wasn't his fault.
(Although he thinks it is)
Tell him,
It's okay.
(Even if he's not
Tell him,
I know he's hurting.
(Because I did too)
Tell him,
He can move on
(But I hope he won't.)
Tell him,
Dont forget me
(Although I know he will)
Tell him,
(Please, don't)
