as the moonlight
peeps through my window tonight
fairies will dance on my pillow
in a spree of delight
in the indigo skies
above the peaceful lake
flew an alabaster swan
she coursed a furrow
through the thermal air
her wings fluttering
in graceful decorum
as eve shadows
fell upon the lake
she rested neath
a weeping willow's branch
for there
she'd be enfolded
in the moon's luminous light
as the stars did sprinkle
their glinting sparkles
over the lake's glass surface
as the break of the morrow's
brilliant blue sight
came
her wings did rise
to take of flight again
sometimes
one can be thankful
for seeing a false facade
its veneer of plastic
gives it away
once the top layer
is peeled off
the true colors
of the facade are recognized
imitation....
like a Louis Vuitton handbag
fake....
as a cheap Levi tag
these hall marks
stand out
to give a clearer view
of what lies beneath
the facade's
subterfuge
a powder of frost
covers the bush land's terrain
on this cold June day
as the morn sun shone
on the spider's soft misty web
a hue prism did show
