The wide of your eyes,
tight and almost blind.
Never see what ahead of you,
the vision I could build.

You just one of them from the world they build.

The vision of your sight,
narrow and despair.
What more could you see,
when you didn’t even tried.

You just part of the member never move and never view.

The future I foreseen,
bold and scary.
Failure always part of it,
why won’t you and the rest try to bet?

I’m seen what more we could be.
Success will lie on me.

In eleventh grade, I learned the word
grotesque.
It seemed to me that it was tied to human
nature.
All the lines we try to hide growing
thicker.

We are monsters, the animals to
fear.
Rabbits don’t need Botox, yet we rip off their
heads.
A bit rude when you think about it;
unnecessary.

I want to be old and like a rabbit when I
die.
Shriveled and happy and kind like a
baby.
One or the other: bunny or child it’s up to
me.

I live in
spite
of the fact that the
world
wants me
dead.

slicing through my veins

unpolished tenebrous matte and raw

a hero knows when to die on her knees

unfailing cavernous submission red

kneel and repent, retreat, descent

good girl

5am
5am,
snuffed between the fingers of the day
slumming stars and a night not fully broken,
the waking world, its petals still to open
is filled with silent promises unspoken
