I do everything with Bernadette
my angel, my muse to write
In the stormy seas
the cold nights breeze
she is my guiding light

I beam at her perfect smile
my heart it beats for her
Together we will be
this I believe...I'm sure

I go everywhere with my Bernadette
My God I love her so
I keep her in my pocket
her picture in my locket
for she died so long ago

Seems like it was yesterday
my hair was long and blonde
I brought his lunch down to the coal mine, I went to see my John.
He greeted me with tulips, and held me until Dawn
Even in my dreams, it seems, I thought about my John
We stared upon the stars at night and pondered what lay beyond
The brightest star, seen up so far reminded me of John
The dark day the results came back I cried,
I cursed and sobbed
I sped over to his bed side, I went to see my John
I buried him that dreadful day, a piece of me was gone
In the procession in a black vale, I went to see my John
With the noose so tight around my neck
I sang my final song
I dropped and let my body hang

I Went To See My John

The frog rests on his lily, he seems to rest in bliss.
I do not understand so I quizzically insist.
"Excuse me Mr. Frog" I say
"But can you answer this. How is it your so happy in this slimy grimy mist?"
"Good day!" as he dances to the bridge in which I stand.
"One day I will get the kiss that turns me into man.
My queen and I will rule from the castle on the hill,
I'll remember where I come from, these waters calm and still."
Big dreams are had by this frog that will one day wear a crown,
as he shouts with glee and welcomes me, to the Town Where No One Frowns

I cross the open planes, where the Giant roams with ease.
He feasts upon the bushes and the branches from the trees.
I look on, astonished, there is fear I feel so grand.
"Have no fear he bellows, for I do not dine on man."
With a smile as big as his stature seems to be,
he says "The townspeople, they are all afraid of me"
"How can you be so joyous?" I utter soft with fright.
"I guard the town from wolves, while they're asleep at night.
It is because my presence, the wolves they stay at bay,
I protect this land at night, so the town is safe by day.
He tips his hat, and laughs as he nibbles on a tree.
I smile back at him "You're secrets safe with me"
He shares a great big hug, and then gently lets me down
Everyone serves their purpose
in this Town Where No One Frowns
