Speak beauty
Light up the darkness
Feel everything
No matter how small
Keep clean and close to your heart
The wisdom of love is in all
Upon Narcissus' rejection
Echo extinguished like a fire
Her voice remains
Brighter than the forest
Real love
Is a teacher of kindness

Human touch is among
The most mysterious of fragrances
Moving away from the need for a diversion
Towards the need to believe in something worthy
Is already a type of liberation for the psyche
Why do we need so many offerings
To repatriate the missing pieces of a country
And yes you are mistaken but i love you anyway
Despite the smiling faces trapped in shiny frames
Hundreds of names and bodies are taken hostage daily
By ****** midriffs and fatal fitness equipment
Your loose lips can sink my ships any day of the week

if we are stardust
Heavy lifting is a burden
If we are stardust
Than our time to harvest is now
Or in a never ending morning
You jump into your glory
And form a story
Made from tired words
We drift like echoes from the woods
We are daring targets of timid darkness
Conscious that our nothingness is biased
So we rest in the finest linen
And cash on delivery is just how you like it
The dark night of the soul
Can also be a silent invocation
Or a subtle invitation
Aspiring you to wholeness

two pa(i)r-a-g(i)raphs
You are proud and destructive. Loud and argumentative. Return the phone calls you never made. Feel into your faith. Waves upon waves upon waves.
I watch your heart become a pocketbook. Apoplectic neglect. The accomplices we fail to protect. The edges are sacred. Naked. Lace and finger-paints, give meaning to our dress rehearsals.

A poem is a wave. As love is a feather. Send me your heart in a letter.
I will read it by the ocean. Movement is denial. You lied to me through your smile. I can see your insides. Buying out the real estate. Poetry made you soft. Feelings are lost in your basement. Sands shift like apples fall from treetops. I am bottomless. Now we read the newspapers to find the flavors we used to savor, in morning’s fragile atmosphere.

Fancy a little danger
We are all a part of this one heart
Love is a future and a new start
At something older than the sun
So stay open to the left-handed savior
Who asks if you fancy a little danger
Tonight we are chasing financial targets
And recycling our milk cartons in the yard
But in the morning its back to the office
To accept our roles in something
That's probably not even worth naming
her precious breath
yearns for warmth
and contact between the sheets
her body sways and grinds
her spine is a limitless ocean
her limbs are ropes to climb
they are towers or spires
filled with millions of subtle wires
she is noisy and delicious
they heard moaning
coming from the bedroom
as she came into her darkness
she held it and allowed it to shine
yet transformation is endless
its happening all the time
like underbellies rising
undercurrents entwining
she is sovereign and sublime
content to birth the world
from between her juicy thighs
no longer does she hunger
for your silly little lies
and yes her beauty is music
and its too bad really
that you happened
to be away for the night

alligator conveyor belts
What’s a pound of ****
Cost these days
As much as your heart
Who is waiting for your body
When you have stolen all your parts
Lungs and dinosaurs
Work for their dinner
On alligator conveyor belts
We assembled all the elevators
And placed them on the shelves
One more cigarette
And i’ll quit smoking
One more woman
And i’ll know you were only joking
I am hoping we could dance
And stand on ceremony for a change
One last kiss before the earth begins to shake
I awaken in your bed
We are all about this pain
For once we have felt it
We can never be the same again

involuted confusion
Money is a mass illusion
A conspiracy of occlusion
We are involuted and fruitfully disappointed
You are free to disagree
With any of melancholy’s anthems
For they are only apathetic hymns
Written to the sounds of the anointed
Funnels of trust and courage
Make you love yourself more often
Must we give happiness the rub
And settle down in our lonely carriages
Only three harmless appointments later
I saw you staring at the furniture
I hoped that it would fade way
So you could get your voice back already
In your body is a serpent
And your lungs are the ocean
You were gasping as if life
Was only one form of devotion
Or was this another failed attempt at liberation
Undertaken once too often
We have made attempts to rest
But nothing exhales anymore
And now only this shortness of breath
Can show us what's really necessary

This is a new document
I hesitate to efface it with words
Life is like a blank slate
Obscured before it is ever even spoken
It's a clean start to a ***** finish
What we begin has already ended
Yet it lives inside of us waiting to be reborn
Tonight we reside in flaming letters
Comfort is a breath away from being broken
So hold me and observe me in my shyness
We fit together like crying children
This symmetry is obviously oblivious
But we'll miss the bus if we keep talking nonsense
Sometimes we take our silence a bit too seriously
And you were always free to agree or disagree with anything
But plausible denial has always been a bit above my paygrade

Dance with no labels
Dance with no labels

jump, spin, twirl
leaping into thin air
folding into the center
falling from grace’s chair

dreams come and go
dreams are life’s theater
try to play your part well
for when the goddess is hungry
your soul must feed her

freedom is emptiness
emptiness is form
let the music take you
into the eye of the storm
movement is the sacred fire
that makes your body warm

people are never
going to understand
so why try to make sense
of why we spend half of the budget
on a defensive pretense

we could come together
in unity and song
let's quit spending our hard-earned money
trying to fix what went wrong

I suggest we educate our children
with movement, meaning, myth, and art
to finally heal the age-old split
between the mind and the heart

sold on becoming
we lost our salvation
a perplexing situation
dancing became an occupation

a means to embodying self
an invitation for sacred activation
enfolding essence into form
our juicy potential was lost
instinctually responding to heat
the honey bee swarms

scarcity implies
you are not enough
how could it be, this silly lie
for if it were true
the world would be dry

still it is wet
and your soul is too
so dance with no labels
and sing as if you
had all the answers
when you haven’t a clue

as to the meaning of things
or the direction we’re heading
just listen closely
and watch the signs as their showing

in my heart we are dancing
in my soul we are too
in the world they are waiting
for a harmony to renew

the union of love that exists
between two beings
who have given up labels
and let go of form
forgotten about borders
and released all taboos

these beings are free
to love as they please
and pleasing it is
when we all can agree

that when you are dancing
without any labels
you can be me and I can be we
then two becomes one
like the seed and the sun

a forest has been hidden
inside of a single tree
this sacred combining
some call it Alchemy
has just begun
but in truth we are eternal
so the great-work is never done
