I encounter,
innocent
wonderment
in its
thunderous loudness,

in the eyes
of a child,
standing alone,
looking at a
giant wheel turning at
mind-boggling speed.
1.   Nocturne, Nocturne, mercy me
Your pull, your glow, has got me
In a fix, in a mess, can you see?
Are you good, good for me?

2.   In this bog of night
A mate, a friend I find
And now it's okay, it's perfectly fine
In this bog of nocturne, your hand in mine
If I could find a smile,
I'd find it deep within you.

If I could hear a laugh,
I'd make you giggle so true.

If I could feel the love,
I'd give it back but more.

If I could unbreak my heart,
these tears wouldn't be so sore.

If I could have a chance,
I'd turn your life around.

If I could turn back time,
I'd save you from the ground.

R.I.P. Big brother. I miss you.
My Brother Steven Hicks was three years old when he died in a freak accident. I was just a little over my first year.
I will keep looking,
For I am a lighthouse.

I will always see the good in everything,
For I am a lighthouse.

Confused I will search for answers,
For I am a lighthouse.

Help any ship along the sea,
For I am a lighthouse.

Wait in a single spot unmoving,
For I am a lighthouse.

Slowly decaying from the inside,
For I am a lighthouse.

Alone for all my days,
For I am a lighthouse.

Never will have any true partner,
Because no one builds two lighthouses next to each other.
What a job.
You're my favorite
Libra, and always
will be.
Anytime I hear that
song about peaceful,
easy feelings I will
think of you.
Anytime I feel like
no one else knows
what in the world
is going on and
think about how
you're the only
daisy on earth
who sees everything
for exactly what it is
I will miss you.
But most importantly
anytime my blood is
pumping and your
blood is pumping
I will love
your curly head
with all the blonde
in mine.
I sense a placidity stirring into a storm,
a tempest of wilderness rising within,
all my senses trying to keep me from swooning,
my breath fighting like it's the last puff,
an awe stopping my heartbeat,
yet a sense of beingness keeping me alive,
when you explore me with your eyes.
