they came and grabbed
our backs they stabbed
thought for good they came
only to leave our lives lame

our land they put to use
resources were profuse
all we enjoyed as sweet
soon was under their feet

our fathers saw it
that all was no more fit
advantage of our trust
to subjects was ******

they ran without food
hidden deep in the wood
for their land a sword
for freedom their blood

no longer to be subjects
for the masters as objects
they saved their freedom
and regained their kingdom

for all they fought
with their blood bought
the freedom they wanted
with pain to us they granted

but who draws from this well?
we fight but never tell
the waters they fought for
to get we struggle before
yesterday
i found out
my mom sold my dog
and chopped down the tree
that my brothers and sisters and i
spent our whole lives playing under.
my little sister
gave me a sawed chunk
of the Big Tree
to remember it by
everything in my life
is a sawed chunk
a ****** piece
of something bigger
that once was all mine
and whole
and perfect...
mom,
i'd rather have
the ******* tree
i guess she doesn't stop at ruining lives. she goes the whole nine yards and ruins perfectly good ******* landscape, too.
One man's heaven, is another man's hell
Some see a pond, others: A wishing well
One person loves to dance in the rain
Another hides inside, feeling nothing but pain
One sees food as fuel
another, a jumbled mass of harmful calories
One sees a razor as only a shaving tool
another, a way to ease the pain
One sees life as a beautiful
another, nothing but sadness
One sees the other as weak
another sees the other as someone they wish they were.

*It's all about perspective
Keep it simple. Keep it clean
Leave a riddle that speaks of kings
Speak a little to feed their needs
and watch these kids bleed the weak.

it's not necessarily
that I want to go to sleep,
I just don't want
to be awake
