They ask me what I see,
What I see when I'm dreaming,
What I see when I'm listening,
What I see when I'm writing,
But I don't see; I understand,

I understand how minds work,
I understand how hearts work,
I understand how my world works,
But I don't understand them.

Why can't people accept it?
Why do they need to know why?
Why do they want to know?
But they don't want to know why; they want to know what.

If I see their futures,
If I see the dead,
If I see words before me,
But I don't see; I understand.

So when they ask, what do I see in you?
I don't reply. I smile,
Because when I dream,
And I listen,
And I write,
You know what I see?
What I've always seen:
You.
The pressures of life got to me today
You do you do'not
You will you wont
you say you will but wont
The flesh of your bones
Only one option tonight
I am just me
'I can only be
don't ever think that,
if the opportunity arose,
that i wouldn't take
a bat to your teeth.
you may not care
but every word is about you.
every curse on my lips.
"cross my heart,
i hope you die."
you may not care,
but just so you know,
when your life goes to ****
i'll be there to cheer the fuckery on.
you deserve every tear that hits your pillow.
i hope your parents hate you
[more than they already do].
i hope he dies.
i hope every night
when you try to sleep
nightmares haunt you.
and we both know you'll
never make anything of yourself.
you'll forever be nothing
more than a two-faced *****.
you're nothing
more than a thorn in my side.
the buzzing in the back of my mind.
so you can sleep soundly tonight.
i'll be waiting for the night you scream.
11/04/10.
something like that.
i hadn't written in a while anyways.
Places like this
Inevitably remind me of you
Where the world is coated in a green
So dewy that I can almost taste it,
And feel it in the palm of my hand.
This place is lovely,
But the water rushes over the jagged rocks
With startling urgency
As it coarsely laments the knowledge that only they,
And you, and I have:

*I ******* threw away my soul in a creek just like this.
Snake tounges rattled and hissed words of poison mechanically,
With green-eyed monsters lurking beneath their skin,
Circling the rumours of suspicion onto those of white blood,
Like a frightened rabbit in deaths doorway to car headlights fell.
The slithering tale encapsulating innocent yet friendly ears,
Smearing their venom amongst those of lowered fighters hands,
Trickling down the innocent white hart's hands,
As though regarding herself as this murderess.

Flight of fear, fighting the dark, losing, chocking, drowning,
Yet tales of talk were not in vain, but yet they failed once again,
Smearing that of lies over white walls, black onto red,
Trapping the rabbit in the snare, as though to **** it in the shell.
My friend, would you tell the old lie? To children so high,
To fall so low, by that of snakes and their hungry green-eyes.
Line 8- 'Tess of the D'Urbervilles' by Thomas Hardy
"She regarded herself in the light of a murderess"

Line 9- 'Dulce et Decorum Est' by Wilfred Owen
"He plunges at me, guttering, chocking, drowning"

Line 12- 'Julius Caesar' by William Shakespeare
"Treat him as a serpents egg, and **** him in the shell"

Line 13- 'Dulce Et Decorum Est' by Wilfred Owen
"My friend, you would not tell to children ardent for some desperate glory the old lie"
The pheasant cries
as if it just noticed
the mountain.
Shadow keepers and whisper-mongers
dressed up in hallowed head gears:
An eternal flame weeps
that leads to the heart of the republic.

Fly-by air drills and tableau thrills,
mighty state on display,
don't delight anymore;
Who's the guest of honour
taking the salute this year?
Who cares - this is
a republic in distress.

Dusty statues of heroes past
that gave their blood for a vision
that freed, spruced up today
weep in their silhouette.

One stands accused
of subverting law for partisan ends
Another owes everything
to a last name and what else since?
What choice - this is
a republic in despair;
Crisis everywhere.

But sadly, no one seems to care.
Happy republic day.
There's a new pub down the road.
Exciting malls on the way.
Drink, brother, to wits' end.
The republic don't care.
The republic in decline.
26 January is India's 'Republic Day' or the day when India adopted her new constitution. The eternal flame alludes to 'Amar Javan Jyoti' commemorating heroes who gave their lives to defend the nation.
