Dylan Barrows Jul 2014
I feel with poetry you need some sort of direction
but all my life has been chaos.
From the moment of my birth until the latest years of my life.
I have lived lifetimes of tragedy.
Pain.
Loss.
A broken heart.
Its funny, what the pain does to us.
On the outside it leaves us with marks and stories.
Inside it leaves us with walls and voids
you never forget the pain
the almost-too-deep wound on your arm
the tall tales you tell of heroic battles with less-than-heroic adversary
the unforeseen holes where mass-affection once stood
the stories you keep away of ones who broke you
Invisible.
Inside.
In.
You.
Will always remember.
Don't ever forget.
But
Don't ever let yourself
Never love again.
I'm not good at this but I feel it's okay
