CROSSING OVER.
Dada Olowo Eyo Dec 2019
Dearly beloved,
Yet, here we are, again,
Winding down another year's grind & hustle,
365 daily sweating the bustle;

Forgive me, whither I crossed you,
Mine spirit doth deeply begeth your forgiveness,
Aye, the new year can only get better,
Sharing renewed happiness and plenteous laughter;

Our losses, though they hurt,
Yet all glory to Yahweh all mighty,
Christ, Yeshua, continues to reign,
Constantly soothing our searing pain;

I love and cherish you,
Please find a reason to love me, too,
Never doubt the authenticity,
Toward you, of my heart's clarity;

And as another journey beckons,
Into the the daily unknowns,
Remember, Yeshua will intercede for his own,
As he sits, aright, Yaweh's heavenly throne.
A Yuletide message.

Eternal loop of stupidity,
The constant motions without movements,
Pursuing a bleak reality,
And continuing on meaningless comments.
Nigeria is 55. We are still toddlers, however.

Said she, die I today,
No husband to weep for me,

But is this love anyway?
Sometimes methinks love is such a wonderfully cloaked selfish emotion.

When the bird sang sweet tunes,
And the trees sweeter fruits,
Alas! tormentors now glory in their loots,
And The People of State lay die upon hot sand dunes.
Once upon a time Nigeria could care for her people; today, the people do not care what happens to her.

And the preferred utility,
For use in this morbidity,
Gets axed by authority,
As a matter of citizen security;
But no sooner than say, 'mary poppins!' accidental deaths are recorded by it's application in hair lice removal or eradication - two persons: one infant & a graduate; both died when the organophosphate - ****** - was copiously applied in hair, then covered up; only for the applicants to be found dead next morning.
Prior to this, the organophosphate had been responsible for majority of deaths by consuming contaminated beans, yam flour after its use as pesticide to preserve agro products, even smoked fish, too. Then Nigerians began a series of using the deadly fluid in ending their lives for sundry reasons.
A knee **** ban by the Nigerian food and drug admin body came into effect but mass illiteracy of the people regarding the nature of such phosphates may actually lead to more deaths in the future as people will find others means of being creative with the one shot killer. SAD.

And I say thou alone art magnificent.

THE CRUCIBLE.
Grinding, grinding, grinding,
Held by the hand of fate,
Around the dimming of faith,
When hope is difficult to operate in;

There is visible resistance at play,
The pestle strains, demands to be held tightly,
Unyielding stones protest vehemently,
Progress is hard, fine result ages away;

Everything is working in opposition,
Nothing is lending support in the other direction,
Many months after an emotionally charged election,
Very little is left to the imagination;

But something must give,
Now, or later,
The former, better,
All in, all in! Live!
Nigeria is evolving right before our very eyes!
After eight years of terrible governance, the present administration is saddled with reversing at great speed then doing the most incredible 180° in modern history to face the right direction.
