Dear Rained-on Parade
Stella Dec 2014
I wonder of you like
star gazing fanatics look into the sky, searching
for some supernova.

Your words have constantly touched
and pulled at my heartstrings:
Our Kind Of Love Story
Cycles: Rescue
We Won't Need Anything
The Fall
*******
Aqualung

And countless others that rage over my mind
keeping me awake.

Being a great poet is not the easiest thing to do
but I guess when one has got a heart like yours,
you just close your eyes
and paint.
To one of the greatest poets on Hello Poetry, Rained-on Parade. Her work is fantastic and touches my heart. She has a genuine love for poetry and you can feel it in her words.

Check out her words and let her know:

She has even put out a book just this year!! Please help her out by liking her FB page:

She says POETRY MATTERS, and I say its more true now than ever.

Candles
Stella Dec 2014
I blew out candles I'd lit
in joy of your return.
Because you retraced your steps
and set fire to my lawn
bright enough to keep the light.

Polar opposites
Stella Dec 2013
Drawn I am to you,
unaware of the force
driving us away
is nothing but our own
cataclysmic personalities.

There is a whisper in
the autumn wind.
It calls for you.
While it is freezing here
and all I can feel
is the numbness of limbs.

Like fire and water,
I cannot exist with you;
yet, cannot exist without.

Fruits
Stella Feb 2015
I lopped up an orange
and let the juice run down my throat
the way you drink fire
and breathe into me.
Aroused.

Trash
Stella Feb 2015
I went out of the house to put out the trash
and I cut myself on broken glass

it was your heart
on the street
out of someone's trash bag
cutting its way through
to reality.

Standstill
Stella Dec 2014
I found a place within
my head where you and I
are still standing before
each other

in love.

Fist fight
Stella Dec 2013
Grappling bones,
hollow insecurities,
broken,
healed.

A fist to the face,
an uppercut,
terrible colours onto
the barren white walls.

Red-faced,
shut-eyed,
running with
arms wide open.

"Bring it on!"
Lungs afire.

We always stand up.
Again

I will find you
Stella Dec 2013
I will find you.

When you scurry away
into the haunts of
your ravaged mind,
searching for things you  never owned.

I will find you.

Amongst heavy crowds
of people, places, promises;
where you blend into
perfectly.

I will find.

You,
your mind,
your broken self,
buried deep within
the place you called home.

What are you going to do
Stella Mar 2017
In the end, you never came home.
I sat by the door with my arms turning
to dust aching for you to return.
You left the kettle on
and I drowned myself in it.
Chamomile, Earl Grey, Lemon, English
who cares what the sachet says
as long as it's hot and burning
my tongue because every little pain
is a pain I've to endure.
It takes my mind off you.

livery
Stella Jul 2015
I tried to drape the sun
and I burned the skin
off my palms.

This is what you do to me.
This is you.
This is me.
I ******* hate you.

Jungles
Stella Sep 2015
I grew trees on my arms to
carry the weight of your pride.
Atop me now this message
of my wild, wild love.
Touch me because I can't move
anymore these roots
are my bones. These roots
are my bones.

Bringing happiness like a friend

Guilded
Stella Aug 2016
There are so many places on Earth
where no human has ever been to.
Untouched, unscathed,
unseen.

Just like your heart.

We burned flesh against flesh
until all there was left
was a mark of you,
and our bones in a tangle.

Say something
Stella Dec 2018
If you don't say something now,
It's not going to be alright anymore.
