The silent whisperings of the wind
The Enigmatic dances of the trees
They are welcoming my presence
After a long time I am home…

Woodpeckers are laughing with me
Warblers are making a fuss
A white moth came to greet me
After a long time I am home…

This place is God’s own
In the silence I can feel the soul
The music in the air is prayer
For making me alive and be here

On to the bed of fallen leafs
I want to rest my aching beliefs
Harsh journey I have been through
A beautiful world its suppose to

The Lianas are the playing ground
Where the childhood dreams rebound
The faint memories comes alive
After a long time I am home…

I know I am not alone
She is there if I ever get blown
Into the comforting lap of her
After a long time I am home…

CA Guilfoyle
Buoyant snowflakes sideways crashed
dripping down grey window glass,
stinging winds blew harsh - the lash
of winter.

High in pines, do they shiver,
nesting birds deeply hidden?
or
do they warmly slumber,
with downy feathers, nestled under,
night's darkest cold, before
the light of dawn?

She wears the beauty of the morning
like a meadow gently dew-clad
sighs of springs fair breeze
play against my cheek
as we walk through chalk-rooted meadows
She hugs the stones
like a child holds her mother
then departs their grasp smiling eyed
Weaving around stones
Weaving between worlds
We are two strands of this ancient thread
sewing and binding us together through timeless ages
life and love
land and lore
And when we pass beyond these sacred days
the blooms that climb anew each spring
Will carry in their scented flower
the memory of we lover's power

Build your nests of red bricks and stone
Dig your holes and bend the world to your will
The wind carries the scent of your folly to me

I may choose to dwell amongst the untrodden ways
or perch upon your spired vanity
but cherish not with pride the beloved ways of man
for what you make or take richens my domain

You may abide my enemies
but my triumph is centuries long
I have danced in the clouds with the souls of dead poets
and marked the long leagues
from the mountains to the sea

The skies are mine
My joy you never see
Tied to the earth
Forever burdened be

Frantically, a snowflake falls--
terrified of the massive dark cloud
a former home.

Falling--falling
zig-zag loop-de-loop
twist reverse--falling--

Once a vibrant turquoise
filled with melodious birds
whose songs were carried by a brisk breeze--
The dark cloud now envelops
the sky
with a quiet, frigid, painful air
looking for that one frightened snowflake
in a sky of millions leaping for the ground,
forgetting it created that scared snowflake,
just like all the others running away...

The sun was setting
While I was watching the pond
The cattails danced in the breeze
The call of crickets sounded through the air
Mingling with that of tree toads
Oh the joy of these Summer evenings
I was staring at the mossy floor
Of the pond
Tiny little fishes swam back and forth
Birds twittered
And swallows were flying home
To their nests
Tranquility is all around
Mingling in the coolness
Of the flowing pond
Beauty abounds in the silence
Of the pristine evening

I know the tiresome emptiness off loss
Whispered prayers wind around me
tight as a linen sheet
I would rather hear the gale raging through the oak
than hear such words
I farm a gap in the clouds
My own father would make fierce account
of how my dreams aged him before his time
though the rocks whisper he was ruined
by long harsh years behind the plough
My mother dreamed winds from temperate lands
might blow across his brow
but rain and stone and sickly beasts filled his mind
Drab were the mourners in Horeb
who saw him fade into the earth
The only light was in the eyes
of those he will curse no more

Green hills covered
In a cloak of sparkling dewdrops
Like jewels cast among the green
Glittering in the warm sunshine
As smooth as pearls from the ocean
Hidden under the sea-covered ground
Green meadows
Full of dancing flowers
Kissed by the sunlight
And enchanted by the Moon
Green leaves
For making iced tea
That cools us off in summertime
And green mint
Fresh from the garden
To make mint iced tea
Green grass and catnap
Is a kitty's treat
Along with green herbs
From the garden
Green leaves
On the tree
Are like a fan
Cooling me off
When the wind blows
Green trees
Are a bird's delight
Where they can build their nest
Green stems on the flowers sweet
And green bramble
Green bushes
Planted here and there
Green ferns
Dancing by the creek
Paints a poetic picture
Hunter green moss
Fills the Forest with beauty
Green palm trees
Stand proudly on
The tropical islands
Ivy green
Climbs a walls
And creates a winter scene
Green pairies
Covered in green grass
I just love this
Green
Earth!*

The breeze slightly stirred
The beautiful trees
The sun would come out
Only to take a peek of Nature's beauty
Then vanish behind the veil of celestial sky
Such a beautiful day it is
And I really think it is
A beautiful one
Nobody seemed
To notice
The beauty
That I did
On that
Lovely
Day

Tonight I will sleep on my fragmented thoughts
that my anxieties found too delicate to embrace.

Crushed by nature and neglected from nurture
I'm not one to hoard but my head must rest.

Is it so wrong for a woman to caress her melancholy
as tenderly as she does her lover?

These pieces of madness once smelled so sweet
like the roses I've kept from years foregone.

I crowd my mind with scraps of death
to remind myself that what is dead, is never gone.
