Morning glory sighs
Afternoon of rainy skies
Calm as ocean tides...

Warm mandolin rain
Hazy days of cheap champagne
Stormy thought drains...

Golden prairie dreams
Rolling hills of passion green
Restless hearts sprout wings...

Autumn colors bleed
Green, then red, then yellow leaves
Bare becomes love's tree...

Moist as forest dew
Smiling eyes when I'm with you
Rough 'til rivers smooth...

Flowers fresh then go
Lovers strive to meet their souls
Picky swans grow old...

Such will of the wisp
Through the marsh our footsteps slip
******, thorns, still we grip...

Whispering winds moan
Ghostly spirits search for home
At last, dust and bones...

Love is an anchor
To a sea that never rests
We drown more or less...

The Devil pursued until his interest failed
He changed his course straight back to hell
Yet I felt to follow through gates and doors
Caught and married his favorite *****...

The beard that hid my bitter face
I took a razor and I did erase
No more hiding from what I can be
How could I embrace such misery...

Darkness plagues the shadows of mind
Light gets broken in the Devil's design
But we are not pawns without a choice
These are my hands and this is my voice...
Just because we change our ways
doesn't mean the darkness fades.

It's not really that deep
These uneasy feelings that I keep
Are more or less on the surface
Of the ocean that's trying to drown me...

April came and with her hope
A little sunshine helps to cope
Her kiss sweetly soft caress
A heart frostbitten now be blessed

A simple smile of inward child
Takes the breath away
To calm the cold of bitterness
The Ides of March display

She comes to heed the mother’s call
Her air so fair and kind
April sings her early songs
Nature speaks her mind

Gypsy flowers peak their buds
Expose the coming season
Ducks and geese return at last
And life returns her reason

Caesar knew well
The Ides of March
The dread of anticipation
fell upon his heart
But we made it to April
And here a new beginning starts!!
