this rule,

in this

chaos I think

My pain is

my fuel,

and my blood

is my ink

The words have stopped,
The music aint flowing,
There's been the death of a lady's man,
The death of one Leonard Cohen.
Leonard died today. He was such an inspiration to me. Saw him in concert severals times, the last, two years ago. He was a novelist, literary critic, academic, poet, lyracist, songwriter, and so much more. We've lost one of the greatest voices of our contemporary world.
Death of a Lady's Man is the title track of one of his LPs.

The glory of nature
in all of its transformations
the dawning of consciousness
the surrender of love
the struggle for survival
the dance between
the  light and darkness

The meteor shower
the child's first step
the child's first smile
the cocoon unspun
the spider's daily web
the many mornings
come and gone

This observer of
what is and what is not
consumed with awe

Melting solids
to dust
liquid to vapors
riding life's lightening
thunder's laughter

From oppression to freedom
From slumber to wisdom

The glory of all nature
instantaneous and gone
the ink on the page
the sun gone nova
the event horizon
random particles
converge into being
dissipate and defuse
from movement to entropy
ashes to ashes
stardust to stardust

The poet ever singing
the glory of transformations.

Wistfully
Wishfully
My daydream drift
Takes me eye to eye
And hand in hand
On a sunny morning
Somewhere
Settling dust
Step by step
And side by side
There's a tide close by
Responding to gravity
And gravity of sorts
Draws our souls
Fatefully
Inevitably
Together

Big
My life is big,
My world is bigger,
It's no wonder I often find myself
by getting lost!

High walls protected
her wounded heart which
from a secret garden became
a haunted graveyard...

In the folded bracken

All that
4 love
I have always been who I am.
However, there have been phases of precious time, long lost, where I was
filling-in the roles that selfish people had me play.

Being one that never wanted to disappoint, they mistook my kindness for weakness - but I always new
that I would give-up show biz
one day!

It wasn't all that long ago
that I decided to make my final courtesy, and take a bow
for the very last time.

It was on that day
that I stopped insulting my soul -
it was on that particular day
that I apoligised to myself,
and I became 'all mine!'

I was never one to disappoint,
but I really owed it to myself.

I gave all glory to my God,
and to my soul...
I did it for the warrior
hiding within - my true-self!

Finally,
I came to the conclusion
that no one will
love me,
know me,
or care for my soul's needs
the way that I can.

I finally came to the conclusion
that I was just as selfish
as everyone else - because I had
cared more for others
than i had for myself.
So, I devised this plan:

I will be who I was born to be!
Sincere, kind, compassionate, empathetic, honest, forgiving,
and generous...
but smarter, and wiser,
than the average man
or woman!
