Erak Freeze
A dream long lost deep in the lines of time,
Still mourned but left for dead in times long past,
Though dimmed it will not ever lose its shine.
If forged how long will it be made to last?

I wait for things to change, for life to grow,
This thing will never cease to hold a sheen,
A pity if it was a fake, charade,
But I will never know what you have seen.

I always dreamed in dreams but never thought
That I would see the day that this was born.
In days as far from here as i can hope,
I will be once again, in black, alone.

As shallow as young hearts can sometimes be,
I hope you know how much this means to me.
Particularly complex because it is in iambic pentameter

Nebulous the Poet
I woke from sleep and looked outside today
to see that spring has sprung from infancy,
grass still wearing some snow like a toupee
and squirrels that are all but finicky.
I try to process all this imagery,
but my emotions are over my head,
so I sit in bed and smile wistfully.
I could be forthright with what should be said
and risk that it is misinterpreted,
or I could keep it in and let it go
and watch the opportunity lie dead.
Each spring a rose must bloom to be full grown
and blossom for everybody to see,
it's time I show the world who I can be.

For many years we have stood side by side
Unthinkable to contemplate your loss
If you should leave, bereft we would abide
And both of us must count the heavy cost
We have not always been the best of friends
I know you feel our union was forced
But all those ****** battles had to end
Since then do our achievements count for nought?
The whole is better than the sum of parts
Oh Caledonia, it's up to you
Is our historic partnership to last
Or do we have to bid a friend adieu
By voting, not by battle you decide
Remain, or by the claymore sever ties
Later this year the people of Scotland will vote in a referendum to decide whether or not they wish to remain part of the United Kingdom.
The claymore is a traditional Scottish sword.
My first attempt at a sonnet.

The hopeless flower on the sidewalk grows
like any other hopeful flower would.
For those who pass, this hopeless flower shows
a sprig of hope in grey cement. She stood

on every corner waiting for love. He,
before he left, had whispered that she’d find
his love on the first corner she could see.
But she did not see love, so never mind

his lies. Are all just ploys of love truly
fair? The woman turned to stone still waiting
there for love to come to her. It crudely
sprouted on the sidewalk green and greying.

Though lonely, flowers on the street will yield
more looks of love than flowers in a field.
I assume you once danced the Cabaret
By how you strut your Flexi-Form abroad
This I figure on weeks-by-two per se
The Ardent Friend your Fervour can behold
T'was the Charm which every Fruit can discuss
And win many Smiles for a Pint or Ink
Telling us flat, Life can take us that Far,
In a Bus run by Monday's Downey Sink
Was it wrong to know the Inner-Woman-You
That Principle so many Thinkers deny:
"******-Hub! Buck-Forth! Lev, Lev, Lub, Lub, Le, Loo!
Then Drink your Bub-Clouds to Barrels on high!"
Nah, Forgive my Fishes, Sir! I bestate
You're one Sav Foretainer - Dance with me, Mate!

It took just a few Leaves for me to see
The Wondrous Promise this Scribbler can do
My Kababayan: This Deep Legacy,
Honouring our Flag with Pen and Ink-Blue
But my, dear M'am! Such very Spicy Words,
Great enough to keep my Eyes glued to Browse
And Characters - Freaks Alive! Well that curds
Such Vain Trumpets most of Us do Live out
Now the Bubble breaks; And the West will know
That even from the Pearl, English is You
My Box-of-Thanks, sealed and delivered with Bow
Springs the Jack in Celebration of Youth.
My only Concern, I should have bought One
Let me end my Shift; And my Suweldo come.

Summer has murdered the fairest of Springs
Green leaves have withered upon the tree boughs
Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds do not sing
Breezes no longer through the pine trees sough
Summer has torn out the heart of the dove
Sunshine no longer dapples on the path
Butterflies no longer dance up above
Summer is glad with the power it hath
Now the bluest of skies has bled to grey
Farewell, sweet sapphire skies no more to see
Now there is only one hour in a day
And withered flowers never waltz gladly
Spring is dead and Summer is here to stay
Now Time and Happiness have run away

You are my beautiful sweet feline friend
Without you life would be dismal and grey
You are the spark of life that doth descend
For God had sent you from Heaven that day
You are the one that keeps me company
Even though you are so very afraid
Without you I would cry so dismally
For with God's own hands you were shaped and made
You dance and waltz inside my dreamy head
You're like a Fairy sprinkling Fairy dust
You gingerly leap upon my soft bed
You play a Harp because I know you must
Little Buttercup, you are my blessing
Now raise your head and to me sweetly sing

*~Marian~
I lovingly dedicate this to my cat named Buttercup!!! (: ~~~~~~<3
She SOOO sweet and adorable, so I just had to write this for her!!! (: ~~~~~<3
I have had Buttercup for nearly a year now!!! (: ~~~~<3
And before I end, I wish to thank my
Mom and Dad for allowing me to keep her instead of sending
sweet Buttercup to the Humane Society!!! (: ~~~~~<3
Thank you, Mom, Dad, and my sweet little Buttercup!!! (: ~~~~<3

How I long for the breath of youth once more
These tiered bones and weary eyes will mend
My bending back produced by years of chore
will bend right back as an unbroken trend.

The lines and wrinkles will begin to fade
My erratic heart will beat strong and true
My calloused hands torn and battered remade
Will lift up boldly into the bright new

I'll be callow naive and ignorant
Brashly pushing forward never looking back
I'll be breaking hearts, my love to be sent
given to those with worth or those who lack

But my weary back will remain thus still
for my youth alluded leaving me chill
Dear Child of the Flesh your Sacrifice pure
All for your Push to this High-End Pursuit
Numb your Aware its Ending Line demure
Purge all these Benefits from your Wanted Fruit
Though of Age, still Raw your Seeds germinate
Whilst Roasting the Lamb these Hawks fly to bite
When the Dharmapala's Warnings come too late
Then disrupt his Program for Full Life despite
Still by this Wish for Superstition's Core
Your Full-Circled Tale many still Subscribe
That by Virtue in Truth your Life accord
Such Plombs do seep as True Friendship imbibe.
Courage at least, your Preteen Age devise
As these Merchants still Exploit your Advise.

So in this Month your Heart begins to press
For Good October promises your Due
Thinking of Delight and Travel Costs less,
And finally meeting her through and through
Her arm must have healed, given Time's duty
No more must such Fortress wall you apart
Her, Blessed Pronoun who cheers you truly
On her own Springboard she performs her Part
As you guide Witness to her own Unique Craft,
That Guideline which does greatly Inspire
Now look! Her Swan whips the Air; And the Draft
Begs humbly deep its legs to retire.
Your Hug was her Reward; Then the Flannel
Covers your Cheers on the Upper Panel.

Always!*
fall in love with a poet,
they cannot disguise the truth,
yet, soften it when needed, somehow,
for the only words they possess
are kindness and kindness...

Should you travel with a poet,
new ways of seeing will they introduce,
delighting you, and for ever in you, delight,
for every word that passes thru their lips,
gifts to keep, for the days of when...

There cannot be always good times,
poets know, so they write today,
for when tomorrow's intrusion is
the other end of life's continuum,
their words recalled, restore, revive...

Poets are the predecessors,
your torment, anguish, they have known,
so when they write today, it is
preparation when the future demands,
changes that require tissues, shoulders, arms...

Worry not about their torment,
t'is a seasonal change, comes and goes,
but in the winters of your life,
yours - warm fire, warm poets, summer kind words,
so, always, always,

Always fall in love with a poet...
A riposte to Mr. Hawkins of Canada
Either your Phrase, your Cause, your Sensation
Blind or Reveal your Inner Tendons prove
Which we, of Loyal Customers mention
To purchase more of this Shop-Lifted Good
It's never wrong to Share such Blessings once
Or pray a Novena to concilliate
Or - ask the Pope's Palm for amusement - bounce,
An expected Fantasy anticipate
From whose Permission, then, shall we beseech
To beg your Insights in deep, due respect
Or, by a Tooth-brush are we out-of-reach
Would then bolt your Castle by circumspect.
You are still a Knight. Half-Armoured at that
That part which still bares - embalm with a mat.
