Seán Mac Falls
I left the house of the tempest brewing,
Spinning like a rod, spun into flame
And came upon the redwood forest,
Eternal, shouting out heavens name.

The sun was indifferent, the creek shuffled
Its lament, the birds fluted their dirge—
I was so small, in the red giants grove,
Yet, felt so beloved, my pain was purged.

And I warmly came to see again—
My eyes, through the needles drove,
What a trifling is ones fleeting mood,
How true, heroic, immortal is my love.

Why then am, I NOT
what I was
and why I am like I am
my own words
I am not
Feeling the people

So the beat goes on.

I just am, so my breath goes on
I can dance, and shimmy a little
well on a good day, and maybe wiggle
but as the days go on
my heart goes on.

and the beat changes.

For that WAS is NOT there any more
all I have is what
I think so
if you do not agree say so.

AND that was me              If I         W                 A                S.

Years of neglect have
Covered my garden
Allowing brambles and weeds
To grow wild
The flowers unseen underneath
A cover
of cascading green lushness
Dotted with white and pink
Hidden by thorns
And winding weeds
Patient beauty is waiting
Yet uncaring laziness is
Suffocating tender blooms
Denying them light

Seduced by fruit
So sweet and tasty
Of a thorny vine
Lulled into complacency
Unaware of silent unfoldment
In darkness

Step by step
We uncover the secret
Cutting away thorns
Clearing out the
Dead and the dying
Shedding light
Into places of decay
Discovering flowers
We never knew where there
Glory in color
No longer hidden
Is finally able
To shine

This is one of my very first poems, written during a time of deep soul searching :-)

What GOD wants
Is just a clean fight
No bitting.

When you look at me
I know all you see
is an old man
that has escaped from his room
and I will hold my hands up to that
for I want to be in the sun like you, feel those rase hit me
and bring love, to my old heart
and feel freedom.

LOve from an old silverback, almost in his tomb.
