Ready

She's got a new plan, invented
On a cold morning in April,
A pilgrimage to Tennessee,
Just west of Nashville, where she knows
Some people who are close enough
To take her in, with two kids now,
Long enough to get on her feet,
Find work, apply for benefits.

She tells her daughter to be strong,
To make her little brother think
This move is their great adventure,
Which it is, in its own fashion,
Is freedom, an old idea
She almost forgot. She's ready.

But peace of mind is priceless
Likes can be bought
But genuine love is invaluable
It's quite convenient to preach/teach
But practicing what you speak is honesty
It's easy to stand tall when you win
But it takes strength & a good heart
to acknowledge one's mistake.

Some of the best things in life are the times spent with you.

To the way you make me feel
To the ways you elevate me
All the way to the lazy days of summer by the lake and carefree laughter galore.

YOU are my hero, my light. My steadfast rock that carries me through from one point to another on a day by day regardless of my stubbornness

YOU are my love , my best friend, my shoulder to lean on whenever I can.

The number one woman in my world

Willing to stand guard with an ever watchful eye,
For my heart safe keeping , to protect my vulnerabilities

It’s true I don’t often displayed my love life too often to the world because
When you find true love, it is a treasure to be protected. Treasures are not to be displayed for the consumption of others to agree or criticize. They are to be protected, invested in and cherished in private. A private life is a happy life! There is a fine line between privacy and transparency. Guard your treasure! ❤️
