I look to my rulers,
and all that i see.
Lying, cheating swine,
shameless hypocrisy.

I want off this planet,
away from society.
I'd rather take my chances,
and sail the celestial sea.

I feel that somewhere out there,
a greater world may be.
The distance required to travel,
is beyond the life of me.

And so here I stay,
among this society.
Still at night I dream,
and sail the celestial sea.

While you were gone,
          I was dreaming fantastic dreams,
                    that make you seem,
             ordinary.

And in these dreams,
                        So it seems,
I met the ocean deep below,
He grabbed me hold and told me he'd never let me go.

Why choose land when you can have the sea?
                        I'm just a summer's breeze
                             Rippling the water occasionally
But he admired my company (that's enough for me)

So I'm diving into the deep dark blue
To the parts of him no one knew
                           Purely encompassed in wavy conversation
The shivery conversations made of vibrations

*"And I asked myself about the present:
                  how wide it was,
                                         how deep it was,
how much was mine to keep."

It's funny,
Ever since I met you,
My bed feels so empty.
And I'm laying here,
In an oversized shirt,
And nothing else.
Smelling of soap and skin.
Wishing to taste your lips.
To rub my cheek against yours.
Breathe in every breath you take.
And I've never even seen your face.

You are a bloomin' kiss,
I wouldn't want to miss this.
Dancing around the room,
Circling the lovely moon.
Hand in cool hand,
We'll dance and dance and dance.
Kiss me until I fall away,
*'Till I'm nothing but foamy waves.
And I'll wait for you where the sand meets the grass.
Under the stars.

To Annoy My Daddy, If He Ever Reads This:) :p
If you take a step into the water and sink towards the bottom, never fear.
God may not be there to pull you back up and the world may not  notice as water fills your nostrils.
The void wants your soul and no divine presence can be found.

But you have arms.
You have legs.

You can swim and climb your way back to the top.
Be your own savior.
I write this with the knowledge that I may never see the sun again.
We are the only creatures on this planet who know they will die someday.

...and yet...

We still persist.
Day after day and night after night.
Working and slaving.
Fight after fight.

Sure.
Sometimes there are few of us who have the advantages in society and the benefits of wealth to make life worth living.
""I've been sky diving, rocky mountain climbing.
I hope you get the chance to live like you were dying."

How much do you have in your bank account?
I am cynical.
I know this.
You don't need to tell me that.

But sometimes there are people who, with all of this knowledge, press on and do it for the thrill of the battle.
Some live just because they want to survive.
Some live because they are scared of death.
Some live because they love the feeling of breathing.
Some live because the absence of it confuses them.

Why do I live?

Well.

That is an interesting question.
